Khaleesi POV

My eyes are closed and im so lost in this scent that I don’t see when he steps out of his office. That is until I finally open them and there he is.

LANDON f*****g ANDERSON. The next alpha of Crescent Moon Pack. Crap.

He’s staring deep into my eyes and I can’t help but stare back. I’m so lost in those deep blue eyes. I lose my train of thought.

“MATES” we say in unison.

“I.. uh..” I try to say but can’t seem to form any words ! What the hell is wrong with me! Rejecting. Remember we have to reject him

I have to Samira! I have to avenge my mother Selena. I can’t afford to have him distract me from my mission.

I didn’t get a chance to answer Samira because Landon grabbed me by the arm and pulled me into his office. Those sparks. That electricity I feel where he’s touching me. I can’t help but look down at my arm. Holy f**k what is that !?

“What were you talking with your wolf about?” Asked Landon

“Why?” I reply

“Because. You don’t look very happy to see me, your mate.” Says Landon

“We’ll If im being honest. I don’t want a mate.” The moment those words left my mouth I saw hurt flash on his face. But only for a second until all I could see was anger.

“Why is that? Too busy entertaining these human boys?” He accuses

“What are you talking about?” I ask

“I can smell a human male on you.” He looks at me with disgust and it honestly hurts me. But I don’t let him see it. Keep a straight face Khaleesi. I think to myself

“What’s the issue? You seem to “entertain” all the unmated she wolfs of this pack and every other. So what if I look for that same “entertainment” with human boys? Women can sleep around too.” The moment I said that I regretted it. His eyes turn pitch black, and the biggest growl I’ve ever heard escapes his mouth. He turns around and breaks his hardwood desk with one punch. His laptop falls on the ground and shatters. Papers flying everywhere. He turns around and looks me straight in the eyes, he runs to me and pins me up against the wall.

“MINEEE!” He growls out

“Calm down Landon!” I yell at him. I have never been one like like possessive men. But seeing him act like this is turning me on. Goddess what the hell is wrong with me?! I’m supposed to reject him!! Not fall for his s**t.

“MATE. MINE.” He growls again

“Yes yes I get it. We’re mates. Now put me down!” I demand but deep down inside I want him to hold me. I want to have him close. Feeling these sparks. Having his scent so close to me and on me. Goddess that mouthwatering scent. He doesn’t put me down but his eyes go back to their normal blue color.

“Why don’t you want a mate?” He ask staring straight into my eyes. Goddess I get so lost in those blue eyes. It makes my knees weak. Thank good he’s lifting me up. Otherwise I’d fall straight on my ass.

“You should be nicer to her. She’s the one talking me out of rejecting you.” I say and see hurt flash on his face once again.

“Why do you want to to reject me? Is it because of the women I’ve slept with?” He ask

“Mm. Yes and no. Yes that had something to do with it. But it’s not the whole reason.” I said

“Then.. what is the whole reason?” He ask

“I can’t tell you right now. I promised Samira not to reject you. I’ll give us a try. See how it goes and if you gain my trust I’ll tell you everything.” I said.

“So you’re not rejecting me right now. But there’s a chance you might. And you’re already keeping secrets from me.” He said

“Take it or leave it Landon. I’m sure one of the many women you’ve slept with would love to take my place.” I said

“Are you nuts?!” Landon screamed. “I’ve been waiting for you. Yeah I slept around but it was never serious with any of them. You’re spot is right next to me. As my equal. As my Luna. If I have to wait for you then that’s what I’ll do. You’re not going anywhere Khaleesi.” He said as he puts his thumb under my chin. Lifts my head up to him while he bends down.

That is until someone knocks and interrupts our moment. I take that opportunity to push him off me and fix my dress.

“I should get going. I just came back here to use the washroom. My friends are waiting for me.” I tell Landon

“Wai…” he says as I open the door and a tall blonde stands there waiting for him to open the door. I recognize her as one of the waitresses. Tall, skinny, pretty, and flirty. Just his type.

“Boss I heard you were back here.” She says looking around the room. “Is everything ok?” She walks into the room and I take this moment to leave. I close the door behind me and leave him to do whatever is he does with her. I walk to the washroom a little heartbroken. I knew he was a w***e but for it to be proven so fast is a little upsetting.

When I’m done doing my business in the washroom and finish washing my hands I check my phone.

Messages:

Laura: “we came back upstairs.”

Eva: “you ok? You’ve been gone for a while.”

Bryant: “hurry back. They’re closing in a hour. Gotta get the last couple of drinks before we end the night!”

I leave the washroom and walk fast past his office and up to the second floor. As soon as my friends spot me I see them pouring shots and getting them ready for us.

“We’ll damn Khal I was about to start a search party for you!” Said Bryant

“Sorry guys the line was killer long!” I said trying hard to avoid eye contact or else they’d know I was lying.

“Ok come on let’s finish this last bottle and then we’ll get back to the party bus.” Said Cullen.

“Hey Eva, Emma. Do you think your dad and brother would mind if my mate sleeps over? I want to show her around and get to meet my family tomorrow.” Asked Cullen

“I don’t think they’d mind. I’ll call and ask before we leave the club. What about her friends?” Asked Eva

“Oh don’t worry about us. We have a hotel room 10 minutes away.” Said ruby

All of a sudden I felt a mind link come through.

“So… you want to tell us why you smell like Landon?” Asked Eva

“Uhh what do you mean?” I asked

“Girl we can pick out Landons scent from miles away.” Said Eva

“Didn’t know the bathroom was Landon scented.” said Emma

“Please tell me that you didn’t just lose your virginity to my brother.” Said Eva

“Khal come on let’s do another shot!” Said Bryant snapping me out of my mind link with the twins. He put his hand on my waist and lead me to the drink station by our table. In that moment the scent of forest and fresh rain hit me and the sound of a loud growl stops us all in our tracks.
