3. Eighteen

Khaleesi POV

“Hey there beautiful wake up!”

“Mom is that you?! It’s Saturday!! The only time I get to sleep in is the weekend!” I yelled out

“Khaleesi wake up! I am not your mother I am your wolf !”

“My wolf?! Holy s**t!! I forgot today’s my birthday! What’s your name ?!”

“Im Samira honey. It’s so nice to finally meet you!”

“Samira ! Holy s**t I love your name! When can we shift”

“Whenever you’re ready Khaleesi”

The past 2 days came and went. My days were normal just training, school, more training, and family time. It is now Saturday 8 am and I am officially 18! Finally got to meet my wolf, Samira, and now I can’t wait to shift and start training in wolf form!

“Happy birthday to you ! Happy birthday dear Khal. Happy birthday to you!” My siblings, parents, and grandparents came in singing with a cake.

“Happy birthday princess! How’s 18 feeling so far?” Asked Grandpa Jim

“So far so good grand! I met my wolf. Her names Samira!”

“What a beautiful name we can’t wait to meet her.” Said grandma Alessia

“Come on pumpkin blow out your candles.” Said Dad

“Don’t forget to make a wish sis!” Said my brother Dre

“Yeah maybe you’ll be lucky and meet your mate today! Wish for it just in case” said my sister Marie

I just roll my eyes at her and make my wish. Help me moon Goddess. Hep me get my revenge. Help me avenge my mother Selena.

“So did you wish for your mate?” Asked Marie

“Sis you know I can’t tell you or else it won’t come true.” I replied to her.

“Oh please Khal like you believe in that superstitious crap.” Said Dre

“You never know Dre. One can never be too careful.” Said Marie

*Ring ring*

“Sorry guys it’s Cullen calling. Let me get this real quick and then we can eat some cake.”

“Ok baby we’ll wait for you downstairs.” Said mom Stell

“Hey Cullen! What can I do for you so early on a Saturday?!”

“Cut the crap Khal.” Said Cullen

“Ah lovely as ever my dear friend.” I replied

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY KHAL! I know you don’t ever do much for your birthday but this is a big one ! You’re 18 you’re officially a full grown she-wolf ! It’s something we have to celebrate.”

“No.”

“Khal. Stop with the s**t. Come on. I’ve put up with you for 18 years and haven’t tried to kill you yet. I think it’s something worth celebrating.”

“Oh please Cullen. As if you could kill me. You give yourself too much credit. I’d have you on your ass within minutes.”

“KHALEESI ANDRA DAVIS. I have never made you celebrate a birthday. But today. TODAY WE CELEBRATE. I’ve organized everything already. All you have to do is get ready. Put on something sexy, do your makeup, Do your hair and be prepared to celebrate.”

“FINE CULLEN! I’ll go celebrate damn.”

“Ok good. I invited all of our friends already I’ll pick you up at 9:30. DONT KEEP ME WAITING KHALEESI.”

“I get it Cullen. You can cut the khaleesi crap already. Bossy pants.”

“Ok love you kid. See you later.”

“Love you too. Bye Cull.”

As I walk down the stairs I can smell my moms cooking and hear everyone laughing and having a good time.

“Hey pumpkin is Cullen coming over for breakfast?” Asked dad

“He didn’t mention it dad and I forgot to invite him over with all his bossing around.” I replied

“What was he bossing you around about now?” Asked grandpa

“Apparently me turning 18 is a big thing to celebrate. Even though he knows I hate having all the attention on me.”

“Well I’m glad someone finally got you to do something for your birthday!” Said grandma

“Yeah if I were you sis I’d be partying it up. Not looking for extra training or hitting the gym.” Said Dre

“Oh remember that birthday she stayed in her room reading a book. Not even a new book a book she’s read hundreds of times!” Said Marie

“Ok ok I get it I’m lame. My birthday just doesn’t seem like something to celebrate. Not when I know it’s also the day Mom Selena died. I love you guys and I’m so happy to have all of you as my family I wouldn’t trade any of you for anything. I just feel a little guilty sometimes.” I said

“Pumpkin. What happened to Selena Is not your fault. I was there when she found out she was pregnant with you. Those 9 months were the happiest I’ve ever seen her. She knew she probably wouldn’t make it she felt how weak her wolf was yet she wasn’t scared. She was so full of life. Always smiling! Even when you gave her that awful morning sickness. She still smiled through it. While she was giving birth she said you’d be the greatest gift she could give to the world. And she was right. You’ve made all of our lives better. You complete our family. And that is something to celebrate.” Said dad

“Baby I know I didn’t birth you. I could never replace Selena. But I have watched you grow. I have cared for you like you were my own and I always will. And as one of your mothers I can safely assure you that Selena would not want you to be upset on this day or any day. She’s next to the moon Goddess watching over her pup. She wouldn’t want to see you down. She’d want you to be happy and live.” Said mom Stell

“Your mom is right Khal. Selena was always happy and celebrating any little thing growing up. I’m sure she’d want you to do the same and live a happy life. Sadly she was taken from us too soon but the short life that she did live was a full and happy one.” Said grandma Alessia

“They’re right baby. You’re young. You need to find any reason to celebrate. Any reason to be happy. Any reason to have a smile on your face.” Said grandpa Jim

“We’re sorry you lost you mom Khal. But you gained a family. 2 parents. 3 sets of grandparents even tho 2 of those hardly visit! 2 cool siblings. Well at least im cool. I don’t know about Marie. You also have a lot of amazing friends who love you.” Said Dre. He always managed to throw some kind of joke into everything. No Matter how serious the situation might be.

“Shut up Dre im cool too!” Yelled Marie. “Anyway sis you’re not lame. You’re probably one of the most popular girls in school. Everyone wants to be your friend and all the boys want to date you. You’re far from lame. You just need to let go of the grief and enjoy your life. Selena would not want you missing out on your life on her account. All mothers want their pups to be happy.”

“You’re right guys. Ok ok you’ve all convinced me. I’ll go out and try to have a good time.” I said

“Good. Where is he taking you?” Asked dad

“I’m not sure. He just told me to be ready by 9:30 and not a minute after. Dress to impress. And apparently invited all my friends.” I said

“Ok pumpkin. Don’t forget to take your money and cards in case you need anything.” Said dad

“Thanks dad I won’t. Don’t worry.”

After that we continued to eat breakfast and have small talk. After breakfast I opened up some gifts. Marie got me a pair of earrings and Dre got me the matching necklace. Mom and dad got me a beautiful black dress. Grandma and grandpa got me a diamond tennis bracelet.

After breakfast my day went by as it normally does. Gym, combat training for about 2 hours and a long nap.

*ring ring ring ring*

“Hello” I answered

“Why does your voice sound like that?! Were you sleeping Khal!?” Yelled Cullen

Crap.

“Cullen why are you yelling?” I asked

“Khaleesi it takes you hours to get ready! It’s 7:30 get your ass up and start getting ready! We don’t have all night. I’ll be there in 2 hours.” Yelled Cullen

“Cull…. Hello? Did he just hang up on me ?! Asshole.” I said

“He sure did hang up on you”

“Shut up Samira.”

It’s 9 pm and I have 30 minutes until Cullen gets here. CRAP.

“Marie can you please come help me with my hair!” I yell out into the house

“I’m coming!” Marie yells back

“Whatcha need sister.” Marie says now In my room

“Can you please do a wavy curl at the ends of my hair?” I said

“Sure thing sis. So what are you going to wear??”

“How about i show you the whole outfit once you’re done with my hair?”

“Ok deal.”

It’s now 9:20 pm and I’m standing in my walk in closet staring at myself in the mirror.

Is this too much? Maybe I overdid it. I thought to myself.

“Don’t be ridiculous Khal you look absolutely beautiful.”

“Really samira? You think so?”

“I know so. Mate will not be able to resist us.”

“Ugh please. Let’s not go there. I want to have a good time tonight.”

“Fine fine. Whatever you want Khal.” Says Samira as she cuts off the link

“KHALEESI WILL YOU HURRY UP AND SHOW ME! Cullen will be here any minute.” Yells Marie

“I’m coming!” I yell back

As I walk out I see Marie’s jaw drop and eyes open WIDE!

“Is this too much ? Maybe I should change.” I say

“Are you shitting me ?! You look hot! Every guy In there is going to definitely want you.” Said Marie

I look at myself in the mirror again. I study my outfit to make sure I like it. Rhinestone braided straps black lace up stilettos, black bodycon dress with the thinnest of straps that lands about mid thighs, my long raven hair has lose curls at the end, Smokey eyeshadow with a bold red lipstick. For jewelry I decided to go with the diamond tennis bracelet I just got and a simple pair of diamond stud earrings. She’s right. Not about the guys but about me looking hot. I hardly go out but when I do I like to make an impression.

“Khal Im coming up. You better be ready !” Yelled Cullen from the stairs

“Im ready!”

“Finally ready on time for onc…” said Cullen as he walked in my room. “HOLY f*****g s**t KHAL YOU LOOK GOOD! Dress to impress indeed you did!”

“Thanks Cullen! Couldn’t disappoint you know.” I said while giggling

“Happy birthday by the way. Now come on let’s get going!” Said Cullen as he hugged me

“Have fun guys ! Wait wait let me take a picture of you guys. You guys both look hot. Maybe you’ll both find your mates tonight! All the guys will be all over Khal but all the girls will definitely be drooling over you in that suit Cullen.” Said Marie. She was right. Cullen did look good in his suit he was wearing all black from the shoes to the suit, belt, & shirt. His top 2 shirt buttons were undone and he wore a thin gold chain and a gold watch.

After the picture I said bye to my parents and they of course wanted pictures too. When I walked out with Cullen I was surprised to find a party bus filled with all my friends from the pack. All ready to start the night.
