6. A Lot to Celebrate

LANDON POV

I run. Run for hours on hours. Run in the opposite direction from that party bus. I run until I come up to a clearing with a waterfall. I haven’t been here in years. Last time I was here I was 16 and just got my heart broken. Some she-wolf I was dating ended up cheating on me. I was a kid back then so I took it pretty hard. Came here to think about life and just let the pain leave me. That was the last girlfriend I ever had. After that it was nothing but just one night stands. That was the day I decided not to give anyone my heart until I meet my mate. She’s the only one that will deserve my heart. We were made for each other after all. She will complete me just like I will complete her.

I’ve been waiting for her for 6 years years. Yet these past few days seem the hardest. All I can think about is my mate. About finding her. And when I’m not thinking about finding her. I’m thinking about f*****g Khaleesi. Maybe I should just bang one out with her and get her out of my system.

I decided to just drop it and run back. I change into my clothes and check my phone.

I look at the picture and it makes my blood boil. WHO THE f**k IS HE. WHY DOES HE THINK HE CAN JUST HOLD HER LIKE THAT. Her ass being pressed to his front. While he has his hand around her waist. His lips next to her ear as he whispers something to her. Her face turned to the side with a smile on it. And what the f**k is she wearing! It barely covers anything ! I need to get down there. I need to see what’s happening with my own eyes.

Me: “Thomas are they still dancing?”

Thomas: “no boss. The girls came back upstairs. One of the men, Cullen, seems to have found his mate. They’re all sitting down talking to the girl and her friends.”

Good. She stopped dancing and that fucker and Cullen found his mate. At least now I know for sure that they don’t have anything going on.

Me: “ok. Im heading to the club. Don’t tell anyone. I’ll be in my office. If anything happens let me know.”

Thomas: “got it boss.”

I drive my Audi as fast as I can. I need to get there quick to make sure I’m there if anything else happens. I get there within 20 minutes and go straight into my office. I don’t bother looking for the group. I don’t need them knowing I’m here until it’s necessary.

I’ve been in here for almost an hour and a half trying to do paperwork but f*****g max won’t stop pacing! It’s driving me mad. Distracting me from my work. f*****g Mutt !

I get off my chair so fast it slams into the wall behind me. I run to the door and as soon as I open it I smell the most amazing scent ever. It smells like lavender mixed with cedarwood. So relaxing and calming. One of the most mouth watering scents. It made all my anger just flow away.

That is until I inhaled that scent harder and it hits me. It’s mixed with a male scent. A human male. And I lose it all over again.

I step out of my office to look at who this scent could belong to. And to figure out why I smell another man. And that’s when I see her.
