Annie rose before her alarm had the chance of performing its duty the next day. She had set it to thirty minutes past five, but had risen at five AM herself, a smile on her face.
During the process of tapping the screen of her phone, Annie found her music app and clicks on shuffle, ready to hear any song that came forth — something she hasn't done in a while. Ignis Brothers' Braveheart greeted her ears as she moved around the room, picking up clothes that lay strewn across the ground.
She bustled off into the bathroom, through the door that stood at the far right corner of the room, her pyjamas clinging closer to her as she started to get ready for the day. There was no sign of the headache that woke with her most times.
Today, she was in a good mood.
