Chapter 14
"Hi Jett, where's Ethan and the others?" Twix asked as he placed a glass of water on the counter.
Shrugging, Jett replied, "They're busy with some things."
Looking confused, Twix asked, "You are Jett, right? I mean, you two look so much alike I'm always mixing you up."
Sighing heavily, Jett replied, "No, you have it right."
Twix must have heard the sadness in Jett's voice. "Hey, are you okay?"
"I'll be fine, Twix, thanks."
"Give me a minute and I'll be right back," Twix said and left before Jett could tell the guy the water was fine with him.
Moments later, Twix shocked the hell out of Jett when he placed a burger cut in half with a ton of fries and a piece of homemade blackberry cobbler alamode on the counter then sat down.
