"come in" the person inside responded
Yu reum stepped into the boss's office
its cold in here I can barely breathe
Yu reum wrapped her hands around her shoulders
" its quite hot in here,don't you think you should turn on the AC?” the secretary smiled at him
to be honest this is the first time I've seen him smile
Yu reum thought staring at the secretary
" Jun hyun,you might actually be the only one who cares about me" The boss replied.
Yu reum's eyes switched from Jun hyun to the boss who sat facing backwards.
" sir this is Miss Han Yu reum the female who applied for the post of your bodyguard" Jun hyun went straight to the point.
The boss slowly turns to face them
Yu reum takes a step backwards filled with shock
" Miss Han are you okay?" Jun hyun placed a hand on her back for support.
there was something about him
his aura
" Miss Han.." Jun hyun sounded worried.
" ah...y.yeah I'm totally fine" Yu reum managed to say
" then.." Jun hyun tilted his head in confusion.
" Oh.." Yu reum pushed up a little and whispered
" He's handsome"
Jun hyun scrounged his face and continues
" Miss Han the one who would be interviewing you today is the boss himself." Jun hyun announced.
” Do Yeon" Jun hyun introduced him.
” thank you Jun hyun,you can leave now" Yeon signalled at Jun hyun to leave.
" yes sir" Jun hyun bends his head and walks out of the door.
" Miss Han please take a seat" he said without looking up to see her face.
he's tall,He's definitely handsome most likely single
Yu reum tried to put down tabs about him.
She looked at the paintings on the wall, all pictures related to a phoenix
there's something about him
his aura,his charm feels familiar
Yu reum tried to recall where she had met him from but was unable to pin down anything
" Miss Han..." Yeon interrupted Yu reum's line of thought.
" sir ?" Yu reum responded
" have a seat" he said still looking at his screen
" I'll be with you in a few seconds" he said.
" take your time" Yu reum smiled.
Yu reum took this opportunity to take note of how beautiful the interior designing looked. The office was painted white but it had pictures of phoenixes all around it.
" these phoenixes... you must like them a lot" Yu reum paused in between
Yeon looks up and smiles on seeing the phoenix art
" I don't like phoenixes... but they've been a part of me for quite a long time so I don't think I can let them go.." Yeon said mostly to himself
" this feels familiar.." Yu reum said to herself
She tried to wrap her head around it but everything was so unclear, she recalled everything that had just happened but it seemed to have been clashing with another memory in her head.
" you must really love phoenixes then" The general said holding a portrait of a phoenix in her hand
" stop playing with that and no I don't like them,but I am one so I don't think I can let them go" the king replied
" Han Yu reum" Yeon said bringing her back from her imaginary world.
" I'm sorry I zoned out again" Yu reum bent her head.
" let's begin then" Yeon said

" any working experience?". Yeon asked
Yu reum was quite surprised at how professional he was when it came to work.
"well I once played a stunt double in a very popular action movie.." Yu reum tapped her chin.
Yeon stared at her for a while, his eyes blazed red as he looked at her,Yu reum raised up her head and saw the flames in his eyes.
" s..sir?" Yu reum hid her fears

" that does not count as experience" Yeon said subconsciously.
" what does then?" Yu reum asked confused
what more does it have to do with if not being able to fight?
Yu reum thought as she waited for his response.
" have you ever had to protect someone before?" Yeon asked seriously.
Yu reum thought for a while, all her life she has only ever been on the look out for herself.
" yes." Yu reum said on impulse
what the hell? Han Yu reum you've really outdone yourself
" when?" Yeon sounded interested
when? in the future of course when I start working for you
" a long time ago...a very long time ago" Yu reum blurted.
" how long?"
Yu reum paused for a while before answering
" I think it was in my past life.. I was a general and.." Yu reum was saying when Yeon cuts into her statement.
" Miss Han Yu reum!" Yeon said slightly exasperated
" sir" Yu reum bent her head
" this is a work place not a story house and clearly you do not have the necessary qualifications to work here" Yeon said in a calm and reserved tone.
Yu reum looked into his peering eyes,they shone red like a burning furnace.
" we'll get back to you" Yeon smiled at her.
" thank you" Yu reum stood up feeling dejected.

OUTSIDE THE COMPANY
" ....he said they'd get back to me but I honestly don't think they would" Yu reum said to Seo ah over the phone.
" it's fine just come back home okay? "
"Okay" Yu reum replied and cut the call.
Yu reum stared at the company's building and her mind traveled to the memory she had recalled.
There is something about Yeon,I'm curious to know how do I know you?
