Chapter 1

The alarm clock went off at five but Yu reum had quite gotten used to the noise she rolled off the bed and unto the floor.

" Han Yu reum" Seo ah,Yu reum's roommate called out to her.

Yu reum groaned as she grabs a pillow from the bed and rolls under the bed.

Seo ah twists the knob and opens the door but is surprised to see no one.

"Yu reum... Han Yu reum" Seo ah called out as she walks into the room.

" is there really no one here?" Seo ah asked herself

Yes there's no one here...Go don't disturb me

Yu reum said in her thought,she was not ready for the day's activity just yet.

" Maybe she remembered about her interview with that company..." Seo ah thought out loud.

" that's a start.." Seo ah was about to say as Yu reum shrieks from under the bed but unfortunately hits her head on the bed.

" Ow..." Yu reum shouted as she rolled out from under the bed and jumps on her feet.

" my interview" Yu reum shrieked as she runs in to the bathroom.

" just when I thought she had changed " Seo ah smiled.

Han Yu reum and Yoon Seo ah had been best friends since their teenage days.

It only took Yu reum ten minutes to get dressed and run down the stairs.

" Do you know what made Aceway a renowned company?" Seo ah asked as Yu reum descended the stairs.

"enlighten me" Yu reum smirked and walks to the dining table.

" Attitude. its the attitude to work that matters" Seo ah said concerned.

" I only want to work as a bodyguard not as a secretary or the general manager" Yu reum retorted.

Yu reum flips the cereals box but nothing falls out, she creepily stared at Seo ah and runs out of the house.

" eat something outside" Seo ah shouted at Yu reum's back.

Yu reum rushed to catch the bus which had almost started taking off.

" wait.." she shouted as she grabbed a hold of the bus handle.

She paid the for the fare with her card and took a seat beside the window.

Yu reum could hardly contain her excitement as she stepped out of the bus,she felt a rush of emotions,she was happy,excited and nervous at the same time.

She ran into the company and rushed to the reception office.

" Hi.. Han Yu reum I have an interview today" Yu reum said to the receptionist

" t..there" the receptionist pointed to a seat where there was nobody

" the interview ended and hour ago" the receptionist further explained.

" huhh?" Yu reum was quite surprised.

" Han Yu reum..." the receptionist tried to recollect

" I think your name was called last" the receptionist remembered

" what do I do?" Yu reum said to herself

" you could sit there I'll call the boss's secretary and inform him of your arrival.

" thank you " Yu reum smiled and sat on a bench near her.

The receptionist placed a call to the secretary

" I just spoke with his secretary,he said I should take you to his office" the receptionist said as she dropped the phone.

" follow me" she said and stepped outside her counter.

"Thank you..." Yu reum took a peek at her name tag.

" N..Nam Ji hyun" Yu reum smiled

" you're welcome" Ji hyun replied.

" this way" Ji hyun led her down the hall to the elevator.

" So... what post did you apply for" Ji hyun asked as they stood in the elevator.

" bodyguard" Yu reum chuckled nervously.

Ji hyun laughed hysterically," s..sorry" she said still laughing.

" why are you laughing?" Yu reum asked curiously

" sorry just that it's not common to see a girl applying for the post of a bodyguard and you don't look the type" Ji hyun explained.

" no offense" Ji hyun said with a big smile on her face.

" none taken I get that a lot" Yu reum smiled.

" its not a lie I really don't look the type but I'm quite capable" Yu reum said subconsciously

" it feels like you're talking more to yourself than me" Ji hyun chuckled.

Just then, the elevator door opens up and Ji hyun leads her to the secretary's office.

" I really hope you get the job, it'd be nice to have another female around here best of luck Han Yu reum" Ji hyun said in a cheerful tone.

" Thank you Nam Ji hyun" Yu reum smiled and walked towards the office.

Yu reum watched Ji hyun leave before she knocked on the door.

After a second knock on the door, someone from inside responds

" come in" a masculine voice said

Yu reum offers her final prayer and twist the door knob. The door creaked as it opened and Yu reum was greeted by the peering eyes of the secretary.

Yu reum stood silently beside the door as his eyes flickered over her.

" I was told to come here by Ji... I mean the receptionist" Yu reum broke the silence.

The secretary's eyes moved back to his screen.

" who are you?" the secretary asked with his eyes glued to the screen.

This is my time to show him what I got

Yu reum thought to herself

" Hi.. I'm Han Yu reum I .." Yu reum was about to finish saying when the secretary cuts her off.

"miss Han Yu reum... you're late for the interview" The secretary said coldly

" there's a good explanation for that you see today was my..." she tries to explain to him but he cuts her off again.

" we don't condone such attitude to work here" the secretary raised up his eyes till both their eyes meet.

“ I apologize" Yu reum said genuinely unaffected by the secretary's words.

"well you're in luck,I'm not the one interviewing you" the secretary smirked.

Yu reum could sense danger coming" huh? who is?" she asked curiously.

" the one hiring you" the secretary replied almost immediately.

" follow me" he said and walked out of the door.

" oh lord.." she said aside.

The secretary stepped outside his office and Yu reum followed him, they walked down the hall a bit from the office they just came out from.

" here" the secretary said and knocked on the door

" come in" the person inside responded.
