Eyes on Me Alpha

CHAPTER II

'So, he's the supposed to be mate? No wonder...' my wolf said, intrigued.

'No wonder what?'

'You got in love head-over-heels.' she stated.

'Haha.' I sarcastically said because, I couldn't disagree.

Such an ethereal beauty. I guess he's that business tycoon whom everyone's wants to covet, as humans used to described the male lead in their fictional novel. Painfully gorgeous, powerful and a genius one.

He's staring at me while walking closer. I think my face looks poker at the moment, but I am actually holding my heart tightly. I can't be the same girl kneeling in front of him. He looks more muscular than before and more mature. I bow my head as a welcome sign and a sign of respect, and not my oh-so-overacting welcome smile and hug like I used to before. I cringe with the thought, indeed young and dumb.

Mr. Homer tap Silver's back then put his left arm unto his shoulder, then he proudly looks at me. I on the other hand, remain my formal look.

"I bet you know my top student, Ms. Fritz. Do you think you can do a nip-and-tuck hand to hand combat with him?"

I was taken aback with what I have heard. I mean, I trained all through my childhood and aced everything, but that's for the sake of serving the Alpha.

'Say, Aqua. Out of 10, how will you rate his combat ability?' Pearl asks out of nowhere.

'What kind of silly question is that? Of course 10.'

'A perfect score huh? But not higher than that, we got this then. Say yes.'

'Are you serious? I mean, no doubt with our strength but he's still our future Alpha. We're not suppose to be against him, and he's obviously stronger than us.'

'Let just say I am not a fan of him after he rejected us. He's not yet the Alpha, so what's the fuss? Also, the head warrior is solid rock of deciding through this battle. Let us show what we got.'

Pearl is actually right. Back then, in terms in strength and stamina I'm on par with Silver, that's why I'm a candidate for the Luna position. And, he's not yet the Alpha, he do not yet received the blessing of the Goddess, and that is the overwhelming power and authority of the Alpha. Meaning I can still go neck-to-neck with him.

"Yes, Sir. I think I can do that." I responded.

"Good, then lets start."

Mr. Homer looked impress with my answer, and without further ado we started the battle. I'm on the right side while Silver's on the left side, we are on our battle stance and we are both not yet attacking.

After all, we have not seen each other for 4 years. The way we fight might have changed, considering that he had undergone the training for future Alpha and me having a wolf now. The difference between my strength before have gone two folds so I changed my training routine while I'm on the human land, with the help of my mom. Mom is actually an elite warrior before and she's good at making strategies, so I asked for a help.

It's been quiet for a while now, but with a blink he was gone on his position. He completely vanished his presence. This is hard since most likely I'll be in a defensive, he can see me but I can't. I suddenly feel chilly on my back, he's gonna attack.

I rolled forward to dodge, gain my momentum, and face him. I tried to give him an uppercut but he dodge it by holding my arms. He's lifting me up, Silver's gonna throw me at the ground real hard. He's won't really gonna go easy on me huh. I swing my feet, put it on his shoulder and lock it. I tried to revolve so I could put my strength to my feet and throw him to the ground, but before I could do that, he's already holding my waist with both hands. He'll gonna slam my back. This jerk! Twisting his head right will be easier but it will gonna be treason, so let's do that in a war only.

I unlocked my feet, kicked his back so I could jump up and loosen his grip on my waist. While in the air I kicked him again to his chest so I could have enough force to flip backwards.

Now that we have some distance, I can see his silver eyes illuminating. It's still as beautiful as I could remember and it became more crueler. Like an ashes on a fire.

Our battle was declared tie, although I got some cuts and I wasn't able to scratch him, I was able to survive and put up a fight. Mr. Homer accepted me as his student and my training will begin tomorrow. Silver on the other hand, walk away silently like he also does.

I am walking to the reception hall of the pack house when someone suddenly calls my name. It was that guy back then, the one I was dancing with in the ball. He's waving at me and beaming so handsomely while walking towards me.

'Aren't he cute?' Pearl suddenly commented.

'Yeah, but I still don't know him.' I responded seriously.

After all, its not bad to be so cautious. I waited for him to reach me.

"Hey! How are you? You've become more gorgeous now than ever." He said energetically.

"Thanks. Do you need something?" I asked as formally as I could, even though my brow wanted to be raise.

"Oh, nothing really. I just wanted to say hi, and ask of how have you been." he said genuinely.

He seems more friendly than I thought, fine let's give him the benefit of the doubt.

"I'm good now though, and thanks for asking." I said with a little smile.

"That's good to hear, anyway I'll get going now, the future Alpha's kind of angry now. Bye, see you around."

Before I could say my goodbye, I feel a pair of eyes, gazing on me. I tried to look around but there's nothing odd or something suspicious. I can't feel hostility from those eyes though, that's why I shrugged it off.

And, for the second time around I wasn't able to ask for his name, he was gone before I knew.
