Chapter 1.21

Kathleen Remes’ POV

I woke up early in the morning as I could not sleep, well, after how much energy that we burned last night. I think I might want something to replace it. I looked at Kai who was sleeping soundly beside me and I got out of bed. I wanted to make something for myself and maybe I could get some in bed as well for Kai.

To eat, of course.

I went to the kitchen to see that not everyone was up yet. I went to pull out some bacon and some eggs as well as some sausages. I was thinking of making a simple English breakfast and that would disguise our energy last night.

As I was humming to the sound of my song, I was putting the bacon onto the plate and scooped some eggs onto the plate as well. Suddenly, a strong pair of arms wrapped around me.

“Argh!” I shrieked, but I know who it was. It was none other than my husband, Kai. I turned around to see that he was smiling wickedly before taking the plate and kissing me briefly on the mouth.

“If you’re still in bed, I would have gone up for a bit,” I said as I looked at him. He just had his boxer on and I was pulling his shirt as I didn’t want to wear a robe. He put the plate in front of his seat before taking the seat. He patted my lap as I smirked at him.

“Come,” he said and I gingerly went to his side before he pulled me onto his lap. I giggled as I snaked my arms around his neck before he took a fork and cut some sausage with it.

“Eat,” he said as he put the sausage inside my mouth. I took it before I munched it down and he put some into his mouth as well.

“You have a talent for making breakfast, but I suppose we should leave that to someone else,” he said as he looked at me. I blushed at his comment but I knew what it meant.

“Okay, fine, I will not cook for you ever again,” I said, pouting as I crossed my arms in front of my chest. I turned away from Kai as he was laughing at me.

“No, my love, I mean you can only cook for me and I don’t want anyone to taste it, even for John,” he said as he took my hands and kissed my fingers lightly. I smiled, as I know how possessive he can be.

“Now, I’m hungry again,” he said as he stood up and carried me as I wrapped my legs around his torso.

“But we just ate,” I said as I pointed at the plates.

“Not for food, no. But for you,” he said, growling as he went to carry me toward the bed and only my laughter was filling the empty hallway.

I woke up late in the morning as the sun was shining late in the sky. I searched for Kai but he was not in bed. His hand was still warm so I guessed he had just got out of it. I got out of bed as I looked at the time. It was 8 in the morning. I stiffened a yawn as I went to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

After the shower, I chose to wear a red tank top and black leggings. I will not be going anywhere today, so why bother dressing up? I went to the kitchen to see that our plates had been cleaned up and there was some other breakfast on the table. Kai was still nowhere to be found.

“Where’s Kai?” I asked John as he helped me into my seat.

“I’m afraid Master Kai has been holding up in his office, milady,” he said as he went to serve me my breakfast. I nodded at him before I picked up the spoon and ate my breakfast. After a few minutes, I lost my appetite as it was Kai that usually made me eat a lot. Now, without him, I don’t feel like eating at all.

What was wrong with me? Ever since we married, I have told myself that it was only lust that I felt for Kai, but now, I don’t even sure.

“Can you make a plate for Kai and make sure to put a lot of it in there,” I said as I dabbed my mouth with a napkin. John nodded at me.

“Yes, milady,” he said as he went to prepare for one. I was standing up from the chair as I took the plate from John and headed out of the room.

“Don’t wait for me. Just clean up the table, I will be in the bedroom afterward,” I said over my shoulder to John. He nodded before he ordered some servants to clean up the table.

I jogged gingerly toward Kai’s office as I hadn’t seen him this morning. I was about to open the door when I heard some arguments inside the room. I was hesitating but when I opened the door, I was glad that I had done.

Katherine was on top of Kai as her lips were smudged. I saw there was no trace on Kai’s mouth. Perhaps he covered it so that when I discovered it, I would not be mad. But I was mad and I gripped the handle as if it was nothing.

“Sister,” I said coolly as I looked at her and Kai. “I didn’t know you were visiting,” I said as I opened the door wider. She did not move from her spot yet but Kai was reading me like a book. He pushed Katherine out of his grasp before he came to my side.

“My love,” he said as he kissed me briefly on my lips. I can still smell Katherine’s perfume on him.

“Well, I should get going,” my sister chided as the silence was killing the room. She picked up her purse and she came to stop in front of me.

“Don’t forget what I said, Kai, or the king will not be pleased. Sister,” she said as she air-kissed my cheeks. I was glaring at her before she swayed her hips outside of the door. I dropped the plate onto the table that was near me before I turned to look at Kai. I narrowed my eyes and I crossed my arms at him.

“I cannot believe you. You better have an explanation for this,” I said grimly as Kai was rubbing his face with his hands.

“I do, actually, but I swear, my love, your sister took me by surprise. I don’t even know what to think or act—“ I shut his mouth as I pulled roughly onto him as I claimed his mouth. He was surprised at first but now he was responding to me it. I moaned in his mouth.

“Don’t ever leave me again like that or get caught with someone else besides me,” I said darkly at him. He smirked at me as he was reading my anger.

“I won’t, your wish is my command, my love,” he said as he caressed my cheeks. I leaned into his touch.

“So, what did my sister tell you before I caught you guys in that position?” I asked him as he went to sit at his table. I brought the plate and I went to sit on his lap. He did not complain at all. His face had turned to a grimace.

“Your father has sent us the invitation for the Hungarian royal ball that will be happening in 2 days,” he said as he was caressing my thigh as I was eating the scrambled eggs and I put some into his mouth using my old method.

My mouth.

“So, what did you say about that?” I asked him as I pulled some bacon and ate it. He sighed.

“Well, since your father asked me—“

“You said yes. Typical Kai Virtanen, afraid of the King,” I said as I looked at him. He did not look happy at all.

“I think it would serve us as a second honeymoon if you think about it,” he said as he nuzzled my neck. I laughed at him.

“Second one? I thought we never had one,” I said, as my eyes probably glowed with mischief because Kai was smirking at me.

“Well, let this be a reminder then,” he said before he kissed me as he dipped his hand inside my leggings before cupping the front of my core. I moaned into his mouth as I gripped his hair. I think I might be a little flushed by that sudden movement.

“Shall I continue what I was showing you, my love?” He whispered to me as I looked at him dazed by his power.

“I hope you will never stop,” I said as I pulled him to kiss him again. I think his work would have to wait as he went to pick me up and went out of the office into our bedroom again.

Katherine Remes’ POV

I cannot believe it. Kai was not impressed by me anymore and he did not even look at me once when I was inside the room, along with her. I wonder what Kathleen had put inside his head, or c**k for all that matter, that made him act like that. I cannot even make Chris see me as he did to her.

I was gritting my teeth as I looked outside the window. It was raining heavily but I supposed that was normal in Finland when the winter was here. I looked around before I heard someone coming through the door.

“Katherine, what are you doing?” Chris’ voice was filling my room as I was trying to think about something, mainly making Kai succumb to my charm like his cousin here. I turned around to look at him sweetly.

“Nothing, my dear, just enjoying the view, that’s all,” I said as I was playing with my hair and I licked my lower lips. I can see some bulging inside his pants. He cleared his throat.

“Well, I wanted to tell you that I will be gone for the weekend. Some business deal that I have to make outside of Finland,” he said as he looked at me. I dropped my smile.

“You’re leaving again?” I asked him. He sighed.

“Yes, apparently I have to be the one that does all the deals now,” he said as he distressed the feeling. I went to his side before pulling him into a kiss.

“Maybe I can ease that for you?” I asked, hoping that he would say yes. He chuckled but he shook his head.

“Maybe next time,” he said before kissing me and leaving the room. Now I kind of wish I had Kai instead of his cousin.
