Christina Dobulski’s POV
And as always, when it comes to the wedding, I will be handling the guests' list. Seriously, Tony thought that I was only fit to do this kind of work. Ugh, one of these days, I will tell him a piece of my mind.
“Hi, hello, welcome,” I said as I was checking in the guests that were coming in for the reception. It was an outdoor wedding and it was nighttime. How can it be more romantic than this?
I sighed as I was looking at the guests' list and a glimpse of what was going on. The married couple was dancing as they were chatting animatedly with each other and I could see the love in their eyes. I wished I had what they have.
“So, what do you think of this reception?” Tony said as he was coming from behind. I was still looking at the reception but mostly at the couple; the bride and the groom.
“It was nice,”
“Just nice? Is that what I get for doing this with the materials that we went shopping for 6 days ago?” He told me as he was giving me a cold bottle of water.
“Thanks but it is not my 15 minute break yet,” I said as I was looking at Tony. He chuckled as he was drinking the water as well.
“Well, there are no more guests to arrive and you, bella, are free to enjoy the party as well,” he said as he was patting my shoulder before he went away. I looked at the guests' list before I shrugged.
“Might as well enjoy the night,” I said as I went to the reception. Most of the people that were here were unknown to me. I don’t know a single soul around, well, except for Tony.
“Oh, feisty. That’s some hard stuff that you have there,” I heard someone talking with a woman. I looked in their direction and they were flirting with each other before they went out of the reception, maybe to get some privacy.
“So, how do you like your new status, Mr. Conti?” I heard a familiar voice as I turned to see that the duke was there. Where was his duchess? Then, I looked around and I saw that the duchess was dancing with someone else.
Huh, maybe it was someone the duke knew or he might go all berserk with rage if anyone touched his wife.
I knew a possessive man when I saw one.
I smiled as the duke and his friends were joking that the groom was his brother-in-law. What a small world that we live in.
“Hey,” Nina said as she was approaching. Thank goodness, I didn’t even know where I was going.
“So, you’re off early today,” Nina teased as I went to get some drinks from the passing waiters. It was the same bubbly water that I had in the nightclub a few days ago. I think I should slow down.
“Well, I see that you like champagne.”
“Oh, is that what’s it called?” I asked as I was sipping on the champagne. I don’t know why I cannot stop drinking once I started. Maybe I have an issue with alcoholic drinks.
“You never had one before, did you?”
“Well, I did once in a nightclub with my friend, but I don’t remember after my 3rd glass,” I said as I was laughing. Nina looked at me amused before she excused herself. I was left alone again and this time with a drink in hand.
Lord, help me!
Well, you know what happened after I had my 3rd glass of champagne. I would be a completely different person, as I would be more open and loud. I think I have to get this issue under control.
“Yeah, freedom rules!” I said as I was dancing on the dance floor. People around me were looking at me strangely but eventually, they joined in with my wildness. I was beyond happy and now I can only think of one thing.
More champagne.
“Chug, chug, chug,” People were screaming as I was drowning myself in champagne as I was laughing and howling. I think I might have embarrassed myself tomorrow, but who cares? We will be gone before I can say sucker.
“Christina, what in the hell are you doing?!” Someone shouted and every noise was made. I turned to look and I think I just saw a devil incarnated in Tony’s caramel orbs.
Antonio Romano’s POV
I was doing my check-ins and rounds to make sure that everything was alright. I went to the kitchen to make sure that we had enough supplies for food and drinks. Weirdly, champagne was easily out.
“Sir, I think we have a problem,” one of the waiters was looking at me with worry in his eyes.
“What is it now? The food’s out?” I asked as I was taking some notes.
“No, sir, it’s more like a person,” he said. I sighed as I turned to look at him.
“Another drunkard.”
“Yes,”
“Who is it? One of the bridesmaids?” I asked, still looking at my notes before I scanned the names of the bridesmaids. They seemed pretty normal. One of them was pregnant.
“Well, it’s your PA actually,” he said as I turned sharply at him.
“What?!” I said as I was running out of the kitchen and went to look for Christina. I scanned the room with my trained eyes but she was nowhere to be found.
“She’s in the garden.”
“Of course, she is,” I said, as I wanted to smack my head right now, as she would be going after the champagne. And lots of them were served outside to the VIPs and the other important guests.
But that did not include my PA.
I burst through the door as I scanned the area. There were a lot of people at one point on the dance floor as they were chanting.
“Chug, chug, chug!”
My blood boiled as I saw the familiar blonde hair as she was screaming and laughing with all the males’ eyes that were on her. I think I might kill someone tonight. Or more than someone. I rushed toward her as I was pushing other people to the side.
“Hey!”
“Watch it!”
I did not care as all I could see was red. It was ready for Christina to be outside of other males to stare and I needed to get to her as fast as I could.
“Christina, what in the hell are you doing?!” I shouted before everyone was turning to me. I think I have lost control and I let my possessive, caveman style get the best of me right now.
“Hey, guys, look! It’s my boss. Hey, Tony,” Christina said as she was waving at me before she hiccupped.
“I swear to God if you behave at least once, I will donate some to charity,” I mumbled before I went to scoop her up bridal style and went out of the reception. I didn’t care that everyone was looking at me, especially Nina, who was enjoying her drink as she was raising her glass to annoy me.
Fucking retarded younger sister.
I went out of the lodge and went to the parking lot with Christina in my hands. I opened the door of my car before I strapped her to the backseat.
“Where are we going?” She asked as she was looking at me.
“Away from everyone,” I growled as I was trying to get her feet inside the car. Blasted her long, shapely legs.
“But why?” She slurred as she was holding the collar of my suit. I looked at her as she was looking at me, pouting with her kissable lips.
Control, Tony.
“Because I was so mad that people were looking at you when I was not around,” I gritted my teeth as I was trying to control the anger that was burning inside me.
“But I only look at you, Tony,” she slurred as she was holding me close to her. Our hot breaths mingled.
“What?”
“I know this sounds stupid had my eyes on you the first time we met, but you will never reciprocate that feeling. You like guys,” she slurred as tears were on the brick of her eyes.
“Oh, my bella, you don’t know anything about me. That was just a rumor that Nina loved to spread out whenever people came to my boutique. She said it would keep me sane,” I said as I was caressing her cheeks. She leaned into my touch.
“Then, you like a woman?” She asked. I smirked.
“I love them, especially the woman that is in front of me right now,” I whispered as she was holding tighter at my collar.
“Then, kiss me,” she said huskily as her grey orbs were looking at me, straight into my soul. I smirked as I was holding her hands before I kissed them.
“I will, but not here. No, I wanted it to be special and I think I know just the place,” I said before I pinched her neck and she was out cold. I chuckled as I looked at the sleeping beauty who had captured my heart without me realizing it.
