Chapter 2.16

1540 Words
Antonio Romano’s POV I had been making some changes to the Finnish princess that was rumored that had been going to prison. I cannot think of anything why would her father do that to her. But I think that was the first time I heard a princess was going to prison. “We have arrived, sir,” the driver said as I was looking at the grand mansion. Oops, no, it was a castle, as I was getting out of the car. “Thank you,” I said as I was instructing the servants to get my tools from the car and bring them to church. I have known that princess since she went to prison when she was 19 years old. Well, that was 5 years ago and now I was instructed by the king himself to do some hairstyling and makeup for his daughter on her wedding day. I cannot believe that she was getting married today and I was a hot mess because I was not prepared to be here in Finland. Eh, not that I care about. I was only there to do the makeup and the hairstyling. Not attending the wedding itself. I was walking into the castle as if I had been born here because I came here all the time 5 years ago when I was merely a person that was starting his business. But my name was well-known and I think I have to thank my father for that. I don’t think I want to be famous because of my past. No, do not think about it now, Tony. You’ve changed, I chanted in my head before I went inside the church and Kathleen was standing while she was being fitted into her wedding dress. “Oh my goodness, you look beautiful, girl,” I said as I went to get stuff from the servants for the hairstyling that I had envisioned with her wedding dress. “Tony! I don’t think that I will see you on my wedding day,” she said as she was running to me. I was embraced by her before I was putting her at my arms’ length. “Enough chit chat, we have a lot of things to do,” I said as I was looking at her. She smiled before I went to do some magic on her hair. After some time, I don’t know how long, I had made my masterpiece as I was smiling at it. “Woah, I don’t ever think that I would look like this,” Kathleen said as she was about to touch her hair. I hissed before I took her hands and put them down at her side. “Don’t you dare ruin my masterpiece, and on such a day. You know how much I have to work through this to get to this masterpiece,” I said before I was packing my stuff now. “Okay, thank you, Tony. And I hope you will stay?” The princess asked me. I shook my head as I was smiling weakly at her. “I hope I can, princess, but I have to be somewhere else,” I said as I was looking at the phone that was beeping at me right then. It was time to go back home. “I hope you will soon find her,” she said, as I turned to look at her. Maybe she was talking about my love life or something. So, I did what I am mostly good at. I lied. “Oh, Princess, I already did,” I said before I went out of the church and I went to the car that would be taking me to the airport. I had to get back to Finale Ligure before Christina knew that I was out of the country. Maybe someday I will bring her with me because, apparently, I have to have my PA everywhere with me. Every second of my life depended on her. I smirked at that thought as I was looking at the airport as we were ready to leave. It was a nice experience to be out in Finland for a while, but now, I have something to do back home. Starting with my PA. Christina Dobulski’s POV I was tossing and turning in my bed as I was sensing that someone was staring at me. When I opened my eyes, it was none other than my boss. Antonio Romano was staring at me. “Szar!” I shouted as my head was hitting the headboard as I was rubbing the back of my head. “Oh my God! I’m so sorry. I did not mean to do that,” he said as he went to look at my head. I can smell his signature cologne and I think I can sleep with it. Get your head out of the gutter, Christina! I was pushing him away as I was glaring at him. He was a hot mess as he had not shaved his stubble yet. I think it was good to look at him but if I know Tony, he cannot have any of that on his face. “Where have you been? You look like a hot mess,” I was amused as he was smiling at me. My heart swelled at that gesture alone. How can I handle this fragile heart breaking apart? “I was out of the country last night,” he said, as my eyes were big as saucers. “You what? And you did not tell me? Tony, what if people asked me? I would be such a terrible PA if I didn’t even know where you were at the time?!” I snapped at him as he was holding my shoulders. I didn’t know that I was moving closer to him and his touch helped to cool my head down. I didn’t know that he had that effect on me. God, I’m such a mess! “Well, I told Nina to tell you but she said that you were sleeping and she did not want to disturb you. But don’t worry. I’m here and I will be with you all the time starting from now,” he said as I was rolling my eyes at him. I cannot believe this guy! Does he think he can get inside my hotel room and just tell me that he will be with me every second of my time? Well, tough luck buddy, I will not be with you every second of my life. “Also, I have some great news. We will be leaving for Romania after we go home to Milan,” Tony said as he was standing up from the bed. “For what?” I asked him, as I was sure that he would not be bringing me with him. Romania was a different country altogether. “Well, it’s for a wedding, of course. Don’t you forget, Romano’s Reality specialized in planning a wedding to the last piece of hairstyling and makeup,” Tony said as he was smirking at me. His caramel orbs were shining in the sunlight. God, I hated myself for this. “And you’re telling me why?” “Well, you’re my PA. Of course, you will be going with me as well,” he said as my heart swelled at that. I don’t think I will be able to handle my heart if he continues to give such surprises to me. After that conversation in my room, Antonio excused himself from my room as I went to take a shower. I did not know what would happen after that, but I hoped that Tony would not care more about me. I don’t think I can handle any more of his kindness. I might get the wrong idea. I already did. I don’t know what to expect, but I have to say that I was looking forward to Romania. I think it is the second country that I will be visiting aside from Italy, my home for now. “You’re ready?” Tony asked as he was fastening his seatbelt. I did the same as I was looking at him. “Yeah, ready whenever you are,” I replied as Tony was looking at me. He was wearing sunglasses that covered his caramel orbs before he took one from the dashboard and handed it to me. I arched my eyebrows at him. “Wear it. It will help protect your vision from this harsh sunlight,” he said before I put the sunglasses on. He was right. It was so bright and now, I can see him without squinting my eyes. “Thank you,” I said as he smirked at me. It was a glorious sight as I could sense that my heart was beating very fast. I hoped Tony would not hear that. It would be so embarrassing if he did. “Don’t mention it,” he said before he sped off as the valet had put our luggage inside the trunk and Finale Ligure would be a sweet memory because Tony would be back to normal after that. I hoped he never was after this out of station work.
