Chapter 2.12

Christina Dobulski’s POV My head was throbbing so hard that I was groaning in my sleep. I tried to open my eyes as the sun was shining and I was not feeling well to get out of bed. “Come on, Christina, we have to go,” Tony’s voice filled in the air as I was looking in the direction of the voice. I saw that he was standing close to the window as he was crossing his hands at me. What was he doing here? I was looking around before I went to look at myself. I was still in my last night dress that Kiara was asking me to wear and without a bra on as I could sense that my n*****s were grazing the fabric. How humiliating! I cleared my throat as Tony was arching his eyebrows at me. I dragged the duvet even more closely to my chest as I was looking at his spectacular attire. I don’t know why I was looking at him, but I cannot deny the attraction that I have for my boss. I must be insane right now, hoping so much more. “How did you get in here?” I asked as I was trying to cover myself as my arms were for him to see. But I knew that he was not affected at all. “Well, you are not being a good PA right now,” he said as he set the tea on the night table. I groaned as I was putting my face in my hands. I cannot look at Tony right now. “I’m such a mess,” I mumbled as the bed dipped before I looked at Tony as he was smiling at me. “You are,” “I should not have been a PA after all,” I said as I was shaking my head. Tony chuckled before I was peeking at him under my hands. “Well, you are certainly not the best, but the most entertaining one that I ever encountered. Now, up you go,” Tony said as he was pushing me off the bed before I was standing in front of him in my sexy sundress. No thanks to Kiara. “We have so many things to be done and I don’t need to get my PA into her bathroom myself, not that I’m not enjoying it,” he said before I glared at him. He chuckled before I went to get the towels and I rushed toward the bathroom. “15 minutes, Christina,” he said as I was closing the door, trying to calm my nerves right now. I don’t think 15 minutes will cut it. After I took my 15 minute shower, and it was more than that, I sneaked out of the bathroom as I was looking around the room to make sure that Tony was not peeking at me. Why would I be worried? I was not the right gender for him, pfft! I was walking toward the wardrobe and I was taking out my usual blouse with my pants before Tony burst out from the front door. “What the heck!” I shouted before I turned to look at Tony. He was amused by my outburst. “Well, sorry to disturb you, bella, but we have to get going. And you’re late already,” he said as he put the tray of food onto the bed before he popped on the bed as well. I was staring at him, disbelieving that he would stay, and I got dressed. “Are you going to be here?” “What’s wrong with that? You’re not shy with me, are you?” He asked as he was arching his eyebrows at me. I was making some calculations as I knew that he was not into me. I was the wrong gender for him, so what’s the point anyway? He would not be seduced after all. I shrugged before I went to put on my bra and panties. “Are you going to wear that?” He said as he was looking at my formal attire. I nodded at him before he scoffed and he went to get the paperbacks that he was carrying from the boutique that we stopped by on the way to Finale Ligure. “Well, you need more than that, bella. It’s like 40 degrees outside,” he said as he handed me a red and white striped shirt with black shorts. “Here, this will be more fitting than that,” he said as he pushed me toward the bathroom to change. I was thankful that he knew I was shy in front of him, or just felt uncomfortable still, so I went to change. After a few minutes of trying to make it work on my body, I emerged from the bathroom before I went to stand in front of the bed. Tony was popping some grapes before he stopped as he stared at me. “So, what do you think?” I asked nervously as I was looking at him. He did not blink or say anything. He just stared at me. “Say something,” I said, as I was feeling conscious about my appearance right now. Maybe I should just go in my formal attire. “It’s perfect,” he whispered as he was putting his hand to his mouth. He was so happy that he was fanning himself. “I knew that it would work on you and many others that I have bought for you,” he said before he tossed my formal attire and pulled me to sit on the bed. “Now, eat, bella, we have a tight schedule after this,” he said as he was putting some more grapes into his mouth as I was biting on the French toast. “Eat, bella, you need your strength,” he said as he was pushing some scrambled eggs at me. I laughed and thought our roles had been reversed somehow. “What’s so funny?” “I think I was the boss and you’re my PA, Tony,” I said as I was looking at his face. He was not smiling before he burst out laughing. I joined in. “Well, as long as it’s you, I’m fine with that,” he mumbled, but I heard everything. I think my face heated up at the confession before I scooped some eggs and I went to look at the clock. It was from 8:15 AM. “Okay, we need to go now,” I said as my mouth was full. Tony laughed at my attempt to speak to him as I was taking my notebook, phone, keys and purse. We have a wedding to prepare for. “Okay, jeez, you’re in such a hurry, Christina. The wedding will not be going anywhere,” he said as he was trying to slow down. I was pushing his back before we went out of my room and went to the wedding reception hall. It was such a mess as Tony was not there to supervise and I was lacking in my attempt to make sure that he would be there. His other assistants were there as they were talking and making some magic happen. I was awestruck as the ordinary ballroom was transformed into something much greater and more wonderful. I was lucky to see such an event happen in front of my eyes. “So, what do you think?” Tony asked when everything was in place, even the fairy lights were up. “It’s…it’s magical. I never thought it would be so wonderful as this,” I whispered as I was looking around the room. The tables were set and the dance floor was lit. I cannot help but be drawn to it. Tony followed me closely from behind. “We have a few selections of the waltz and some upbeat songs. Would you like to hear it?” He asked as I was looking at the lights. It was so enchanting that I wanted to dance right then. “May I?” “Of course,” he said before he played the song and it was Waltz No 2 by Dimitri Shostakovich. It was soft to the ears as I was dancing alone on the dance floor. Suddenly, Tony was dragging me into his arms. “I thought you might want a partner to dance.” “But I can dance alone, sir,” I said as I was trying to play hard to get with him. He laughed before we were twirling around and my laughter echoed across the hall as we were dancing away. All his other assistants had gone to their room as their boss was dancing with his PA. What a strange feeling, but I think I liked it. We were twirling and spinning as I was holding onto Tony’s muscular shoulders and arms. It was magical. A dream that I didn’t dare to wish anymore was coming into my mind as I was looking into Tony’s warm eyes. It held something that I was hoping he would. “Hmm, mmm,” someone cleared their throat as we were turning toward the sound. It was Nina before we were stepping away from each other. “I think I should go,” I said as I was trying to get away from Nina’s watchful eyes. “Be safe,” Tony said as I was running up the stairs before I could sense that they were looking at my retreating figure. As I went to the door and I was safely inside the room, I was releasing the breath that I was holding as I was sliding down the door. It was a magical moment and I think I was getting out of line to dare to dream that maybe deep down Tony was reciprocating my feelings. I dared to wish that Tony loved me as I was in love with him.
