Charles Debrun’s POV
I was putting on my clothes as the dawn was still not here. I was looking outside the window out of Kiara’s bedroom. It was nice and everything was cozy. I turned to look at the woman that had shared my bed last night.
Her blonde hair.
Her freckled face.
Her blue eyes shone when they shouted my name.
I was buttoning the last button of my shirt as I went to take my coat and put it on. I looked at the scarf that I wore, then I wrapped it around her neck when we left the restaurant. I wanted her to have something for me to remember by.
I went to her side of the bed as she was breathing normally and the duvet was covering her nakedness. The nakedness that I knew all over it last night. I smiled as I looked at her face before I tucked her hair behind her ear. She stirred in her sleep but she did not wake up. My heart was breaking as I was about to do something terrible in my life.
“I will miss you, my love,” I whispered as I kissed her cheek before I perked her lips.
“Just now that you have my heart. Completely,” I said as I went to take my leave of her house. I got into my car before I sped to the lab where I would meet my boss there.
“Are you sure this is what you wanted? Why do you need to do this, Charles?” my boss asked me as I was packing my stuff and I took my time to bid farewell to my mentor.
“It’s what I must do. I have to do this. For our future together,” I said as I was looking at him. He was studying me, calculating what could happen in my head. You don’t want to know. He sighed as he walked to stand in front of me. He patted my shoulder.
“I hope you’re making the right choice,” he said as he nodded at me. I smiled weakly.
“Me too,” I said before I hugged my mentor one last time and I took my leave for the airport. Even though Kiara asked me to leave tonight, I have to get out of the country right now if I want to make sure that my plan will work.
“You know you can forget all about this,” my mentor said as he was standing in front of me as I was waiting to get a check-in. I smirked.
“And miss all the fun?”
“We will find it, I promise,” he said as he was shoving his hands into his pockets. I nodded as I looked at the boarding time.
“I should go,” I said as I looked at him. He nodded.
“You’re always welcome here and when that time comes, I will send someone,” he said as I was checking into the line. I smirked at him.
“No doubt about that,” I said, and the rest was history.
But that was 5 years ago. You know my story. Going to Denmark, get the attention of the woman that will be my fiancée. I made up a stupid identity as that chick, Dubois, who happened to have a crush on me. Going back to Denmark to play an important role in taking down my fiancée’s empire.
Yeah, just regular stuff.
What you don’t know was that I faked my death as I knew the Boss would most likely tell Kiara about it. I was devastated that I heard she also did the same. I cried and mourned for her as I went to put my energy into my work. And right now, I was inside Kiara’s core again. I could never forgive myself as I was looking into her pleasing face when I had come home.
To her.
“Oh God, Charles. I missed you so much,” Kiara moaned as I was moving a little to make sure that we were comfortable with each other. She panted as she was gripping my hair again. I missed it. I missed her warmth.
I knew I had Sophia to support my needs but nothing, no one, could ever make sure that I was losing control as Kiara did, as if my heart beat, knowing only for her.
“Move, Charles,” she said into my ear as her hot breath was hitting my neck. I kissed her throat before I went to kiss her lips, as I moved out until my head was in her core as I slammed back again.
“Argh! Yes,” she panted as I was moving in and out of her core. She was matching my rhythm. Even though we had been separating for 5 years, she still knew how to make me pant and horny like a teenage boy.
“f**k, Kiara, you’re perfect,” I said as I was thrusting forward into her core. She moaned as she was clawing my back. I loved it when she bit on my throat as if she was claiming me as hers.
“Mmm,” she moaned as she was closing her eyes before I was looking at her face.
“Look at me,” I rasped. She still closed those beautiful eyes.
“Kiara, sweetheart, look at me,” I said gently as I was caressing her face. She opened her eyes as I looked into those blue eyes again. The eyes that I have hurt in the past. The eyes that don’t deserve admiration and love in them.
Love.
My heart constricted as if I cannot breathe anymore. She held out her feelings for me in her sleeve as I wanted to grasp it. I can’t because I know that I will only bring her pain. And I don’t want her to have that because of me.
She deserved someone else. Better than me.
“Charles, I’m coming. Come with me,” she moaned as we were moving as the bed was hitting the wall. I’m sure Chris Virtanen would be surprised if we left early. Not that it mattered to him or me.
I just wanted Kiara in my arms again, in my bed.
“Say my name, Kiara,”
“Charles,” she moaned.
“Say it from your heart,” I said as I moved my hand to touch her needy c**t. She writhed under me as I was putting the right pressure onto it before she came from her peak.
“Charles, damn you!” She shouted before her walls were clenching around my hardness. I groaned as I was nuzzling her neck, which smelled of honey. She was so good that I could eat her up. And so, I bit her.
“Argh!” She said as her second wave came over her. I was thrusting thrust 3 times before I spewed my hot load into her. She was branded by me and no one can claim on her.
“I love you,” she said in the heat of the moment. I kissed her lips as she was panting and groaning before she gripped my hair until I could sense it on my scalp. I groaned as I was having the best orgasm of my life after 5 years of being separated from my love.
We were huffing and puffing as I was nuzzling her neck. Kiara was caressing my hair and nape as she was smoothing her palms over my back. I sighed. This was it. What I have been missing.
I missed her, my Kiara Hoffman.
“Well, there goes our professional relationship,” Kiara joked as I was chuckling at her statement.
“I think we were way past that,” I said as I was looking into her eyes. They were shining under the dim light of the moon. I think they were the most gorgeous thing ever, looking at me.
“Yeah, I think we did. But I still don’t forget what you did to me, Debrun,” her icy voice was back before I took her lips again. She sighed.
“Let’s just forget about our past and worry about it in the morning, shall we?” I said as she was looking at me dreamily.
“Yeah, and besides, this dream was never real after all,” she stated as I was blinking at her.
Okay, that was ouch. I never thought that my future would be like this after I took that plan of mine into action. I sighed as I was moving inside her again. She smirked at me.
“Well, someone still hasn’t finished,” she said as I was putting my weight off her as I was looking intensely into her eyes.
“Oh, but we’re just merely begun, sweetheart,” I said as I kissed her with all my might, all the love that I cannot say to her without breaking this fragile relationship with her.
And I think I already did that.
Kiara Hoffman’s POV
I tossed and turned around the bed. I felt warmth beside me as I did not recall that I had something that could give warmth as Charles did. Sunlight was coming inside the room as I could feel it on my face as I slowly opened my eyes.
I turned to my right as I saw there was a huge figure on my bed. I looked at my waistline as there was a hand that draped over it. I smiled as last night’s event was in my memory so vividly.
His gentle hands.
His full lips.
His sandalwood scent.
I turned on my left side as I put my hands under my head. I did not think that this would be the course of action when we came to Finland. He was breathing normally before he scooped me closer. I giggled as he was tightening his hold on my waist.
“Hmm, I don’t think that I will be hearing that wonderful sound in the morning now,” he said hoarsely as he woke up and his hazel eyes were staring at me. I was about to say something before a beep on the phone. I turned to get it on the night table and frowned when I looked at the message.
“What is it?” Charles asked me as he was kissing my shoulder.
“Chris Virtanen was out of the country and the boss wanted us to follow him,” I said.
“Where?” He asked.
“Italy,”
