Chapter 2.31

Christine Rovski’s POV “You just did not trick me,” I said as I was coming at Tony, but he was moving so fast that I cannot catch him. Damn him with his long legs. “Christina, why don’t we calm down first and maybe talk about it?” He said as he was trying to get away from me. Oh, I will calm down after I beat the s**t out of him. “How dare you to say that? You know how heartbroken I was that you did not care about getting all dolled up for my fiancé and it turned out to be you. Damn you, Romano,” I said as I was looking for the weapon. I don’t think I wanted to hurt him there, but there was nothing out there. “Well, I wanted to surprise you and besides, your father agreed to this scheme of mine,” he said as he was staring at me with his black hair dropped onto his forehead, making him look younger. Damn his handsome face. “You know I don’t like surprises.” “Hmm, you have to get used to it, my love,” he said before I threw some stones at him. He dodged it like a pro. Even though he left the agency 5 years ago, he still has his reflexes. “Damn you, Antonio Romano,” “Christina, language!” He said before I attacked him. He did not avoid me as I was pushing him to the ground. “I was crying, mourning your departure, and I knew I would never see you again. I don’t think that you would be my betrothed,” I said as I was sniffing, my tears were trying to escape my eyes. “Hey, don’t cry, my love,” he said as he was caressing my cheeks. I couldn’t hold it any longer, so I went to grab his collar and kissed the s**t out of him. I don’t care about the scandal or anything anymore. I needed to feel him, touch him. “Hmm,” he responded in the kiss that we shared. It was nice and all before someone cleared their throat. I broke the kiss to see that the King and Prince of Hungary were looking down on us. “Having fun?” He asked before I was off from Tony as he got up and greeted my father. “Your Majesty,” he said before father waved his hand dismissively. “So, are you ready to leave for your wedding or not?” My father asked as he was arching his eyebrows at us. I turned to look at Tony as he was rubbing his neck. “Our wedding?” “Well, I might have left out that information,” he said as he was smiling at my father. I turned to look at my father as he sighed. “Tony, it was your idea. How can you forget that bit?” “Well, your daughter attacked me with her kisses. I might have slipped that information out of my mind,” he said before I slapped his arm playfully. He laughed at my reaction as my face was hot like a burned lobster. My father cleared his throat before he turned to look around. Tony was pulling me closer to his side before he kissed my hair. “So, will you leave now?” He asked. Tony nodded before my father and brother were out of sight. I did not know what they agreed to but I think I have to ask Tony. “Okay, spill it. What wedding and where are we going?” I asked him as he dragged us out of the garden before we were greeted by the car that I used to go around when I headed into town. “You’ll see,” he said as he opened the door before we got in and the driver drove to the unknown destination that only Tony knew. I gasped as we were standing in front of the chapel that was decorated by fairy lights and lanterns. I was impressed as I was walking with Tony under it. “Do you like it?” He asked as I was nodding in approval. He chuckled before we were inside, as the priest and the lawyer were ready with their papers and everything. “Ah, there they are. We have been waiting,” the priest said as we were standing in front of him as we were getting ready to say our vows. “Do you have the ring?” The priest said as Nina was walking behind Tony. “Yes,” “Good, now let’s begin. Do you, Antonio Romano, take Christine Violet Rovski to be your beloved, lawful wife through thick and thin, in poor and rich, in sickness and health until death takes you apart?” “I do,” Tony replied as he looked at me lovingly. “And do you, Christine Violet Rovski, take Antonio Romano to be your beloved, lawful husband through thick and thin, in poor and rich, in sickness and health until death, take you apart?” He asked me. I gulped as I looked at Tony. He was waiting for my answer before tears were coming down my cheeks. “I do,” I said as I was smiling at him, crying and sobbing to my worst right now. “With the power resting on me, I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride,” he said before Tony pulled me by the neck as we shared our first kiss as a married couple. “Now, the rings,” the priest said as Tony took the diamond engagement ring with the princess cut and wedding band before he slipped onto the third finger of my left hand. “But I don’t have yours,” I whispered to him in Italian, as I knew they would not understand. Tony chuckled before Nina slipped the wedding band into her hand. “I got you covered,” he whispered before I mouthed ‘Thank you’ at him. I slipped on his third finger of his left hand before he kissed me again. We were smiling and my heart bloomed that we had been blessed as a married couple. “Now, Princess, as a promise,” the lawyer said as he was handing me an envelope. It did not say anything in the front, but when I took out the documents, it was the changing of legal documents. “What is the meaning of this?” I asked the lawyer before Tony dragged me to sit. He took my hand as he looked at me. “I promised the king that I would never be in this country again or maybe have ties with it. Only for business. So, not that I only married this country’s princess, but I also have been pulling some strings to get you wearing my ring. So, your father has made a deal with me.” “What was the deal about?” I asked as my heartbeat fast right now. Please don’t tell me you will be gone forever. Tony sighed before he looked me in the eyes. “I have to take care of you forever—“ “That was given, we just got married,” I said as he chuckled. He kissed my knuckles. “And I have to take you away from Hungary as well,” he said as I was pulling my hands from his. “What? That can’t be it.” “ That is what it is, bella. I said yes,” Tony said before I was getting away from him. “What about my family, my father, my mother, my brother?” I asked as I was looking at him. His eyes held sadness in them. “Tell me,” I said, as I knew he was holding something back from me. Something that I know will break my heart to hear. “They said that you have to be gone. The guests at the ball tonight will be given something to not remember that happened. Your father said it was for the best,” he said as I was sitting again on the chair. I cannot believe it. My father banned me from my own country. His daughter. “Can I call my father?” I whispered before Tony gave me a phone and he dialed it in. I was holding the phone when I heard he picked it up. “Hello?” “Your Majesty, is it true?” I asked as I was holding the phone close to my ear. He sighed. That was a bad sign. “I cannot risk it that my only daughter, my princess, will be in danger. Remember what happened when you were 20 years old?” He asked. “Yes, I remember. It was the worst day of my life,” I said as I was trying to hold back my tears. Tony held me close to him. “We still don’t know who was trying to get to you. That’s why I asked Agent Romano to take care of you so you would be safe.” “By marrying me to him?” “I thought you were ensnared by him 5 years ago, so I don’t see any harm in that. It was a win-win situation,” he said as he was laughing, like the ones that I remembered when I was a kid. “Well, I can’t say no to that,” I said as I looked at Tony. He arched his eyebrows at me. “And one more thing. You need to change your name legally before we bury the evidence of Princess Christine Rovski. Do you have any names that you would like to have?” He asked as I looked at Tony and the papers. “I think I have the right name for it,” I said before I was smirking at Tony. He arched his eyebrows before I hung up on father as I told him to take care of our family. “So, we’re good?” Tony asked as he put his phone away. “More than good. We were finally together,” I said before I pulled him into a kiss, a kiss that stated I would be forever happy with the love of my life by my side.
