Eloise's POV
"Eloise, what are you doing here?" Ignatio asked, his voice still laced with disbelief and his face in a daze.
He quickly grabbed a towel and wrapped his lower part of the body with it.
I couldn't take my gaze off, not because I was mesmerized, but I was just too frozen to make a move.
He stepped out of the bathroom and I stepped backwards just before he could reach for me.
"I came to drop the rules, I signed them like you want me to" I paused, pointing my hand at the document on the nightstand.
"I'll take my leave now"
His lips parted to speak, but I dashed out before he could say a word.
We are never going to talk about what had happened! But I wouldn't stop thinking about it.
Inside my room, I curled myself into bed but Ignatio wouldn't leave my head.
Sleep didn't find me, all that found me was that man's rod that had water dripping all over it moments earlier.
The urge to touch myself was unquenchable. I tried not to, but I did anyway.
I walked into the bathroom and f****d myself so hard against the wall while thinking of Ignatio. My moans and grunts filled the room even when I tried to tone it down.
My body slagged against the wall with a sigh of relief escaping my lips when I finally came.
Everywhere went silent, but then I heard retreating steps from my door.
My eyes closed in embarrassment knowing that it was Ignatio. He was here.
He stayed and listened to my moans as I f****d myself in the bathroom.
**
The next morning, I was already dressed for work.
I walked down the stairs and Ignatio was standing by the dining table, his briefcase in his hands, and his gaze on me.
My breath hitched as everything from the previous night rushed to me in an instant, but I blinked my eyes, acting like nothing ever happened.
"Good morning" I said without looking at him. I walked past him, heading out of the room when his voice called.
"Eloise, have breakfast," he said.
I spun around and my gaze landed on the dining table. Pasta served royally on the table, but I wasn't having an awkward moment with Ignatio this morning.
"No, I'll go without it" I forced a smile and turned around immediately.
I headed out of the door and smiled at the guard who bowed seeing me exit.
"Eloise!" A voice rang out behind me almost immediately making me turn again.
I gasped, realizing Ignatio was standing so close with his tall frame towering over me.
His face was calm, and he had a hand tucked into his pocket.
"Get into the car" he said in a low, commanding voice.
"But..." I blinked twice. "Weren't you going to have breakfast?"
"Not anymore. I'll drive you to work, get in" he said, moving to the car that had been prepared by one of the guards.
I didn't object. I moved my feet and slid into the Passenger's seat Ignatio was holding the door open.
I watched as he also got in and drove out of the opened gate.
"Where's your wife?" I asked, moments after he started driving.
"I don't have a wife" His gaze was fixed on the wheel, and he replied without glancing back at me.
"I mean, Milo's mother" My face creased in confusion.
"Oh" Ignatio exclaimed. "She's dead," he said so carelessly.
I swallowed hard and shook my head. "I'm so sorry"
He finally looked at me, and for the first time, I saw him give a genuine smile.
"Don't be. You didn't kill her"
I sighed. I wanted to know how she died, how Ignatio felt after she died, when she died, and if he'll ever marry again, but I couldn't bring myself to ask.
I didn't know what toll his wife's death had taken on him, and I didn't want to reopen past wounds.
Soon, the car stopped in the company's parking lot and I loosened the seatbelt.
"I'll go in first. I don't want your employees talking" I said, grabbing my bag and wanting to reach for the doorknob but Ignatio held my hand.
His hand was cold, making me shudder for a moment.
"We'll go in together." He said, his gaze staring deep into my soul.
Our gazes lingered for minutes far longer than I had expected until Ignatio broke the contact.
He looked away from me for a while before he brought his gaze back to me.
"I can walk into my company with my secretary, assistant, my friend's daughter, or any f*****g body I want to. Do you understand?" He raised a brow and I found myself nodding.
Together, we got out of the car and walked into the company.
His aura made every staff freeze when they sighted him. They greeted, but he gave no response.
Instead, he only barked orders once the elevator doors beeped open on his floor.
"Send the evaluation list to my office through my secretary now, Miss Bankers"
"And Team leader Bren, email me the new requests of the products from our production team, then direct all appointment requests and issues to my secretary" He said, all in a hurry.
I watched him leave while Miss Bankers had me take the evaluation list to him immediately.
My gaze caught the heading on the file handed to me as I took it to Ignatio.
I realized he was recruiting, and immediately thought of Laura.
I knocked on his door, walking in as soon as I did.
He had just gotten into his office in less than five minutes, and he already had his gaze intently fixed on his laptop.
I dropped the file slowly, expecting him to look up at me, but he didn't.
After waiting for a while, I grabbed his attention with a throat clearing.
He looked up at me suspiciously and raised a brow. "Everything okay?" He asked.
"No, I might need a few minutes of your time," I said in a low tone.
He leaned back into his chair and gave me his full attention.
"I see you're recruiting," I said.
As his secretary, I was supposed to know, but I didn't address that. It's my second day after all.
"Yes," Ignatio nodded, looking confused.
"I have a friend, we finished school together." I paused to see his reactions and oh well, he was listening.
"I don't know if you can find her a place here" I added, pressing my lips into a thin line.
Silence reigned, but not when Ignatio slammed his laptop shut making me shudder so badly.
He stood up slowly, and walked towards me. He stood so close to me, then leaned behind my ears, his breath tickling my earlobe.
"That friend that was supposed to give me a blowjob instead of you that night?" He asked.
My eyes widened and my lips parted in disbelief, because I didn't expect him to know.
