Monday Morning

Ignatio's POV It's Monday morning and Mondays are usually busy. Already dressed for work, I walked down the stairs with my briefcase in hand. I got to the dining room and I was surprised to see breakfast served. There were no maids hired in the house, so I knew that must surely be Eloise. I normally don't do breakfasts, because I don't entertain the idea of waking up in the morning and having to cook before I leave for work. Except when the lady who I hired to cook once a week already has meals stored in the refrigerator for me. I settled down and ate the potato chicken chip, cheese and smoothie that Eloise had made, then I stormed out of the room. "She went out already?" I asked Bernard, my guard once I got outside. "Yes, boss" he bowed slightly. I sighed, walked over to the lot, and drove my car out of the compound. In the Company, Eloise was seated behind the secretary's desk, and when I walked in, she acted like she didn't see me. "You are so rude to be addressed as my secretary, Miss Eloise" I said with a frown. She stood up reluctantly, and bowed her head slightly. "Welcome, Mr. Sandro" she greeted. "Bring a cup of coffee to my office" I said, and walked into the office without another word. Eloise appeared minutes after I sat behind my desk with a cup of coffee in her hand. She was dressed in a white shirt, a black skirt that stopped beneath her knees, and a black silhouette. She dropped the coffee on the table politely and turned to leave when my voice stopped her. "Thank you for preparing breakfast" I said without looking at her. But I could feel her movements stop and how she spun around immediately. "Of course, it's fine" she said with a cheerful voice and that forced me to look at her. Didn't she look so grumpy now? "It's something the daughter of your best friend should do without complaining," she added with a wide smile which I knew was surely fake. I sighed deeply in frustration seeing she was being sarcastic. "Tell me the first thing on my schedule, Eloise. I'm sure the team would have handed it to you" I changed the topic, not wanting us to get into anything which is not professional at the moment. "A minute, please" her fake smile suddenly turned into a frown as she picked her phone, running her hands through the screen for a while before she looked up at me again. "You have a meeting with Debris Cosmetics by 8:30am" she said. "And what's the time?" "7:45am" she replied. "For every appointment and meeting, I have to be reminded thirty minutes earlier. Do I make myself clear?" I snapped. "Yes sir" she said with a nonchalant look. "Prepare my tablet for the meeting, also arrange these documents" I said, sliding a few paperwork to her while I sipped the coffee. She did it without complaint, and I was glad she didn't find it necessary to try to seduce me with her boobs when she bent down to arrange the documents on the table. Soon, she was done. "Take this, the collaborating company would need to sign" I handed a file to her as I stood up from the chair, heading out of the room with Eloise following behind me. "Let's go. You'll be going with me to meet the Debris representative" I said calmly. "I thought secretaries and personal assistants have different meanings?" She retorted in a rather disrespectful way. I turned to her and sighed, trying to keep my anger in check. She was tempting me to punish her, but I wouldn't. "You do both, Eloise. It's part of what you are here to learn" I turned around and walked to the elevator, ignoring the team bowing their heads at a distance. Eloise stood quietly beside me inside the elevator, but her scent—it drove me crazy. Being alone in the same space with her would always be difficult, but just until Damian gets back, I'll survive this. And yes, without f*****g her. Minutes later, my car stopped in front of the restaurant where I had chosen to meet with a business partner. The CEO of Debris Cosmetics. There's a new project Glam Cosmetics, which is my company would be launching, a new makeup for females under the range of 21-40 years of age, and Debris Cosmetics would like to collaborate with us. The man was already seated, a cup of coffee was placed on his side of the table and he was looking keenly at the door until he sighted me. He stood up like his heart was going to jump out of joy. It was hard to get me to accept his proposal. Collaborating with my company on the new project was something many Cosmetics companies had tried to convince me on, but they all failed, and this man here was slightly able to. Of course, he was glad he would be signing the documents today. "Welcome, Mr. Sandro" he extended his hand for a hand shake, a wide smile tugging at his lips. I accepted the hand with a darkened face and just took my seat, signalling to Eloise to drop the file on the table. "You should read through the contract rules and sign, Mr. Debris." I said, giving my knuckles a massage as I fixed my gaze on my hand. "I'm afraid I don't have much time to spare today" I was expecting a response, but lifting my gaze to look at him, I realized he might not have heard everything I said. Instead, his gaze was fixed on my secretary who had her own gaze fixed on the table. "I guess she's new. I've never seen someone so beautiful in your company before" he paused and I watched as he licked his lips. "She's so f*****g gorgeous. Even her body is" he said. Eloise acted like what he was saying wasn't about her as she still kept her gaze fixed on the table. I stood up gently and grabbed the contract I had placed in front of him. "Let's go" I said calmly to Eloise who looked surprised. We had just got here and we were leaving. Yeah, surprising. "What are you doing, Mr. Sandro? We haven't signed the documents!" He said. "I won't be working with you, not when you are gawking at my employee" I said, then stormed out of the restaurant, leaving him to look stupid.
