MCLAIN HOUSE 8 AM As I enter the kitchen this morning, I notice that Blondie has the newspaper spread out and has been reading it. Hard to miss my frontpage article. I am sure she has seen it. She glances up and says, “Wow! Are you crazy!” I know exactly what she is referring to. However, I indicate we have to do something to try and get a lead on the girl’s murder. Fortunately, she gets up to get my toast, which has just popped up, and I change the subject quickly. How are kids doing in school? Are they playing afterschool sports as I had requested them to do? Trying very hard to keep them off the streets and out of trouble as they approach the teen years. I have seen too much of what can happen to young kids, especially boys.
