Chapter Fourteen

1058 Words
Within seconds I pushed past Emmie anger coursing through my whole body. My demoness made a quick appearance as I stomped to the door. As I pulled it open it came off in my hands with a frustrated grunt I threw the door behind me and march out in the corridor. He's nowhere in sight. But I do see Gavin. "Where's your alpha?" I snarl. Walking straight up to him and poking him in the chest. "I'm not telling you s**t, whore." he spat in my face. Seeing red I shoved him backwards so he hit the wall. "Oh... Its on Bitch." as he threw himself at me. Changing mid-leap into a grizzly bear. We clashed wrestling, me trying to grip his neck. Him trying to wrap his arms around my rib cage. We end up on the floor both loosing our balance. He lands on top of me knocking the air from my lungs. His teeth start snapping at my face, so I put my arm up into its throat to try and hold it off. I lift my legs up and wrap them around its body, all the while repeatedly punching it in the side. He scraps a claw down the arm holding his neck at bay, I can feel the blood on his fur and my grip slips. I know I have to do something drastic to get him off me. I notice he keeps trying for my neck rather than my face, but if I can wiggle down a bit I should be able to twist up under his arm and pin him face first. Unfortunately, before I can so much as twitch, the bear is pulled away from me and hanging suspended on the ceiling. I scream in frustration, and look straight at Emmie, who gives me a little wave. Getting up I snarl and walk the corridor again looking for the alpha. "Luna... Wait. Please. Why are you so angry? what happened?" Emmie says finally catching up with me. I give her a pissed of stare and start randomly opening doors. I want answers and I want them now. "Why has the alpha got a tattoo of me in demon form?" I ask her. "Oh!" as I seen the colour drain from her face. "look there are things you don't know. Things I can't tell you, I was going to start with magic after food, and lead you up to the other stuff." she sighed. "what the hell are you all keeping from me. You kidnap me not once but twice. The asshole is behind all these secrets. Everyone knows more about everything then I do." I have know idea what I'm saying, I'm rambling as I'm so angry. Emmie takes an exasperated breath, grabs my hand and starts to drag me down the corridor. Hopefully it's to that asshole of an alpha. Because I want answers and I want them now. She leads me around and around in circles or that's how it feels. Until my anger dissapates and I'm left with puzzlement instead. She eventually stops outside of some double doors. Behind which I can hear a lot of muffled noise. It also smells devine. With the first whiff my stomach let's out a loud grumble. Emmie looks at me with a smile then pushes the doors open and we enter. The room goes deathly quiet, you could hear a pin drop all eyes are on us. Emmie let's out a snarl and most people look away and start whispering. A boy around my age maybe comes up and holds a first aid box out to me. I raised an eyebrow and gave him a look of confusion. He pointed at my arm. It's then I remembered the bear tore it up. I held it in front of me to get a better look it had mostly healed, just a few little cuts here and there. The main one had healed and left a very raised angry red scar running from my elbow straight to my wrist. My stomach let out another angry growl, all the healing had taken its toll and now my body was demanding fuel. The boy grabbed my arm and lead me over to a secluded table. Where he promptly sat me down and started working on cleaning up the blood and small cuts on my arm. "I'm Eric by the way." he quickly looked up then back to his work. I watched him for a second and could see the colour raise into his cheeks. "Luna." I replied quietly. "I know. You heal really quick. Quicker than a shifter anyway. When did this happen." he asked, excitement in his voice. "I dunno. Not long ago I guess. Your better off asking Emmie." He nodded then carried on cleaning my wound in silence. Not two minutes later Emmie placed a bowl of food in front of me. Some sort of stew I'd guess. With thick crusty bread. It smelt wonderful, I wouldn't of cared though if it's tasted awful I was starving. Luckily for me though it tasted as good as it smelt. Eric had finished cleaning my arm up so sat and watched me eat. When I was done a cup of coffee and small cake was placed infront of me, and my dirty dishes whisked away. Eric was given a coffee too. "So you like to run?" he asks nervously. Again I look at him not really able to get a read on the sort of person he is and what he wants from me. I just nod. "Could you maybe help me train? You know with running and fighting an stuff like you?" shocked was not the word I stare at him, trying to gauge if this is for real or not. The fact he looks me back in the eye without flinching is a point in his favour. Why me though? That's the question. "For as long as I'm here I will. I'll meet you tomorrow morning at the track. Straight after breakfast." I tell him I'm not sure why but there's something about him that makes me want to protect him. I look to Emmie who doesn't look happy in the least. "Now if you'll excuse us, Emmie here is going to show me the library and give me some lessons."
