Poisoned II

"So you knew she was a weaver and you didn't tell" Mr Walt barked at his sons

"Dad we tried to but she insisted" Ian said with his head bowed to avoid raising his father's temper

"Look she's moving" Kelvin exclaimed and everyone rushed to the bed were she lay

Tamara?️

I heard voices around me and slightly opened my eyes and realized I was in my room.

How did i get here?

Then it dawned on me that i passed out on the road

"You're awake" I turned to my mum to see her eyes filled with tears.

I wanted to tell her i was alright that she shouldn't worry but i couldn't feel my vocal cords.

Just immediately my Dad and brothers rushed into the room. I had a lot of questions to ask but i couldn't voice them out

"The poison would soon wear off, it needs time" Kelvin muttered

Poison? When?

I really wanted to ask them those questions.

Just then Kelvin performed a spell on me and i drifted into slumber.

"Take this" My dad said handing a paper over to me "You'll need to poison her so that she'll be vulnerable. if you try putting up a fight with her, her outburst might cause you havoc"

"How does it work"

"You'll need to memorize the spell. Once you get in contact with any of her edibles or maybe water just recite it and it will be poisoned. Then you'll get her here"

"How will I do that" I asked

He cackled and took steady steps towards me. He halted infront me and caressed my chin

"You're the daughter of Octavius hathaway, a witch of the meadow coven; this little mission shouldn't be that hard my child. I know you'll figure it out"

I looked at the note infront of me and grinned. The fish is already inside the net.

I never expected her to come to school after the ambush but luckily I had already memorised the spell. Seems fate was working. I couldn't get to her because of the kind of attention she was getting from the students. Hanging out with Fred and George was enough to grab attention.

And right there in the cafeteria i saw a chance and i seized it. I bumped into her in a way that her lunch would spill. Immediately it did i crouched and picked them, clearly and carefully reciting the spell. I returned the lunch to her, not without apologizing. She wouldn't know what hit her.

After the school was over i trailed her until she got to the road. Soon she started feeling dizzy and as i was about grabbing her I heard voices

"Tammy you forgot your note"

I turned to see Fred running towards her waving a note and i hid immediately. Why is he such a spoiler.

He got to where she lay and shook her vigorously and when she didn't seem to respond, he flagged down a cab probably taking her home. I came out of my hiding spot feeling so flabbergasted at the ruin of my plans.

"Darling if you can't handle such a case how would you make it to the council" My Dad scolded flipping through notes as he sat on his chair without sparing me a glance.

"It was sudden but next time....."

"What if there is no next time" He slammed the book on the table making me flinch. "Why can't you fufil a mission you signed up for yourself. Do you know that that girl is a strong opposition to us. Do you?"

I have gone on missions tougher than this. I've trained endlessly in the ways of magic, even in martial arts i took the lead. A mission that requires poisoning and apprehension should be a piece of cake.

"Dad I promised to get Tamara and that i will do"

I walked into my room and threw myself on the bed. If the mountain can't come to me, then I'll go to the mountain.
