“Tweet tweet tweet”. “Chirp chirp chirp”. Goes the birds flying by Brandon’s window. He opens his eyes, stretches and yawns, and leaps out of bed to start his day. As he is washing himself in the shower, running the water cool then hot to alert his mind, moderately of course, he thinks about how much his life has changed. In the past, he felt empty inside, hollow, then one day when he was still living with his parents, a vision flashed to him, and he saw wonders and marvels too numerous to count or describe. It had been a normal day initially, then suddenly, by the vision, everything changed so suddenly, so quickly. He was not the same man as he was before, and he never knew he was Jewish, why did this vision tell him this? What he did know, was to begin reading the Bible, for only by doing that would his vision be made clearer. He had never been a religious man, nor was he ever raised to be. As a matter of fact, his Grandpa really did not like even to talk about it, for if he did, he would explode into anger. “Does this mean my Grandpa is Jewish too then? Which means of course all my Aunties and Uncles and cousins that come from him?” He says to himself, wondering aloud. “Ring, ring, ring”. He calls his grandpa, “Papa (he always called his grandpa papa) I just had this vision not long ago where I have come to the understanding that we are Jewish, what do you have to say about this?” His papa answers him, “Don’t you dare ever say that again Brandon, don’t you dare?” Brandon responds, “Why are you so mad Papa, I just asked a... His Papa interrupts, yelling “Just drop it, never say such things again!.” “Click”. The phone goes silent. He speaks to other members of his family about this, they all think it is not truthful. So, he researched online to see what he can find, and sure enough, there is most certainly a connection. He presents his evidence to his family, some are shocked and believe, others remain ignorant. Three months later, after studying the Bible in great detail with great attention, he goes to his Papa, and presents the evidence he has put together which proves they are Jewish. His Papa confesses that his own grandparents died in Aushwitz. When asked of the purpose of the secrecy, he gets no clear answer. A vision was given to him and it was true, and revealed things that otherwise would not be known, can’t they all see the sign for what it clearly is?
