I reach over to my bedside table to grab my phone. Deck responded to my message already. I open it and see..
"How was your day?" It makes me smile.
“My day was good. Same ole. Stressful.” I hit send and wait. The responding bubble shows at the bottom part of the phone letting me know that he’s responding back already.
“Sorry about that. Mine too was stressful. I had to show a client some of our offers and after three hours of trying to convince him, he didn’t chose to work with us. It was disappointing but it’s business as usual.”
He sends this and after I read it, I pause. This is actually the first time he’s talking to me about anything personal or even work at that. You know?
"So sorry about that. We lose some, we win some ... right." I send this and He replies immediately.
