Dangerously yours

CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

I hastily make my way to the entrance of Joey’s Dinner . I am

a couple of minutes late. 

The dinner has an 80’s look with small touches of modern and a homey feel to it. 

In high school some days when we didn’t go for classes we would come here; I, Luke and a couple of friends. Sometimes we brought Sky along for a treat. Their food is amazing and they make the best milkshakes as far as I’m concerned although I won’t tell Sky that. Her milkshake is the best if you value your life. 

A cozy place to be at and I immediately think that it’s an extra point for the interior decorator picking a place that’s obviously meant to put me at ease and make me comfortable. 

I go in and glance around immediately recognizing the lovely brunette from her online picture. The striking young woman looks very small in stature if I didn’t recognize her I would have thought she was the one. She looks very young like she would be in high school. I work up to her to introduce myself. 

"Hi, Brenda. I’m Reid Gordon." I put my hand out for a handshake. 

She stands up and takes my outstretched hand in a hand shake. Her grip is surprisingly firm and that also gives her another point in her Favour. 

"Nice to meet you Mr Reid. Hope it wasn’t so difficult finding this place." She asks as we both settle into Our seats. 

"Not at all. This is a popular spot for me. I used to come here with friends back in the days." I tell her and grab the menu.

"That’s nice. I apologize I just had only a quick snack today and I was famished so I have ordered already I’m just waiting for them to bring it out." She explains. 

"That’s okay. I’ll just order mine and we can get on with the meeting ma’am." I reply her. 

"That would be great." She replies me. 

I signal for the waiter and place an order of a chicken burger, big fries and a coke. He takes note of my order and hurries away. 

I direct my attention back to my Brenda.

I have viewed her portfolio and to say I was very impressed is saying the least actually. She has a lot of good references and all her works are very remarkable. This project is something that means a lot to me and I plan on putting the very best hands on it. 

"I saw your works and I was very impressed that’s why I requested for a meeting. We talked about what I want on the phone but it is better if we go over it again and then you tell me what you think and if you’ll take the job. Is that okay?" I ask her .

"Yeah that works well for me. I’ll send you an email about it very soon. Thanks for choosing to work with us , you won’t be disappointed.”
