Dangerously yours

CHAPTER ELEVEN

It’s surely going to cost me a lot of money, a small fortune if I am being honest. But it’s worth it. 

As I walk out towards my car my phone rings, I check the screen and it’s Luke calling. 

"Hey man, how’s it going? What’s up ?" He asks in rapid succession. 

"It’s going good, I just finished a meeting with Fred. Work is starting soon. What’s up with you too buddy? ." I stand in front of my car and lean against the door. 

"You know how it is, from meetings to meetings and then back Into the court. Same ole’ same ole’." He sighs. 

"Yeah. I know it man. How’s Jasmine doing?." I ask politely .

"She’s great. So that reminds me. She actually asked me to invite you over on a double date. She wants to set you up with a single friend of hers. I said I was going to ask you if you’re on board." He says hurriedly. 

"Erhmmm, well I don’t know man. I just got back, I’m not ready to date and with all the work going on I do not have time for a relationship right now. All I can offer is no strings attached kind of relationship." I say with regret. 

"I get it man. Her friend might also be looking for a good time no strings attached but if you don’t want to you don’t have to man. I understand how it is with you now I just think you need to let off some steam and have some fun for a change yunno."  He says to me. 

"Alright man. I appreciate. Tell Jasmine I said hi. I’ll see you around." I say goodbye. 

"Yeah man. Gotta get back to work. Bye." He hangs up.
