PROTEST OR RIOT?
The sea of people marching down Jackson Boulevard from Millennium Park is astounding. Each step taken is one step closer to the Federal Building on Dearborn Street.
The chants that lead the march through the megaphone shout the names that should never be forgotten - the names of each victim. Which is followed up by thousands of people in unison. Each person waving handmade signs and banners. Some with the faces of those victims to sear into the minds of those who chose to block out the news broadcasts of all that has been going on throughout the world.
The chants from the activists are their fight song, it’s their beating heart as their feet pound the pavement. Each step a drumbeat, each stride pumps more adrenaline through their veins.
