18 When Pilar woke up, the sun was just starting to peek over the trees outside. She decided to get up and get ready for the day. Not that she had anything to do. She was basically spending her days waiting for news her brother was dead and her nights losing herself in Jack. Heaven and hell. Light and dark. Good and evil. Jack was already gone, his side of the bed cool to the touch, but Pilar heard the low rumble of male voices and knew he wasn’t far.
