Leo watched the couple leave in the cab, his thoughts playing back on their conversation. Daniel had every right to suspect him of ruining Lauren's marriage but that wasn't entirely the case.
"When Jayden cheated the first time, I had considered talking to Lauren about a divorce but she ignored his infidelity and brushed it off her shoulders like it didn't happen," Leo had said in his defence.
"I couldn't save a woman who didn't want to be saved," he shrugged with a pain in his voice. "She would never have listened to me and I simply chose to respect her decision and her choice."
"I know you think I had a hand in it," he told Daniel, holding his gaze with much sincerity in his eyes that the young man was captivated.
