They walked back to the car in silence, each to their own thoughts. Lauren had a slight frown on her face, walking behind Leo as he led the way to the parking lot. She was trying to understand the annoyance that came over her back there and she still couldn't make sense of it. It was all that woman's fault anyways. Why did she have to talk about Leo like he was some property she could just snag for herself? No, no, it was her fault. Did she have to get jealous enough to drag her that much? Lauren could've just let it slide but her mouth couldn't stay quiet after they had labelled her as though she wasn't good enough to be by his side. Or maybe it was the way Dorothy had spoken about him. Where did that annoyance come from? She had only ever thought she was a calm and rational woman.
