Alicia's POV
From the moment I opened my eyes, I knew Tyler wasn't in the room. I managed to prop myself up with the pillows and scanned the room; he really wasn't in here. I eased back into the pillows as I inhaled and exhaled sharply.
He must be with the council members and the other Alphas, I thought.
I know I shouldn't feel this way, especially when I know he has so many responsibilities on his shoulders already, but I couldn't help but feel like we have been so distant of late.
I mean, our relationship has really improved for the past few days, but most of the time, he is usually busy or something is on his mind.
I closed my eyes and willed myself to go back to sleep. I don't want to ever make him feel like I am a burden; rather, I want to provide support to him.
