The moment I saw Alpha Kade step out of the room, my first reaction was to check on Alicia, so I walked in. I wasn't expecting her to rush into my arms like that, but I reacted almost immediately by wrapping my arms around her and inhaling her scent.
It must have been difficult to face him. A man who had gone that far in making her life miserable must hold some sort of effect over her. I might not be able to erase whatever happened in her past, but I want to be there for her and ensure that something like that never happens in the future.
