Will's POV *Flashback* 12 years earlier I shot up out of bed and just felt my wolf reach for me realizing it was time for my first shift. It was dead of night 3am so I jumped out my bedroom window, 3 stories up and started running. Without so much as a look back I feel myself start to change. The bones cracking and reshaping, joint stretching and elongating, my muscles molding to accommodate the new form I have taken. The pain was excruciating, but after a bit the pain subsided and my body accepted the change. I continued to run until my body was in full wolf form before stopped next to a river to examine myself. What I saw I did not expect at all my wolf was fully black with blue streaks going through my fur and I had dark blue socks to match the fur. To my knowledge most wolves did not differ from the average wolf coloration. So to have a natural blue in my fur was unusual. *What am I?* I think as look at myself astounded at my reflection in the river as I walk along it. Almost to the main house I smell the most mouth watering scent I have ever come across. My wolf, now having a one track mind to track the scent, quickens his pace, weaving through the forest, dodging fallen trees and leaping over grown out bushes. A waterfall comes into my view and there sitting on the rocks is none other than Kai. My parents adopted her when she was left in the woods with no name and no pack. Everyone said she wasn't a wolf or human, but my parents didn't care and raised her all the same. Having a wolf don't make a person and to put that on a little girl was selfish and wrong. She was sweet and kind growing up, but boy did she have a way of scolding you, making you feel like a 5 year old getting caught by the nanny. We crossed paths from time to time, never really arguing or fighting. Usually we have a friendly disposition towards each other, but as I step closer to the waterfall the moonlight surrounds her curvy figure as if she can absorb it's energy. All that hair spilling around her shoulders, while her face is turned up to the moon smiling serenely at it like they were old friends, her hand dripping lightly into the waters next to her. She was in a long silk nightgown that I've seen her prefer to wear. She always seems so ethereal, mystic even when she moved or talked. Taking an assertive role without being the boss, kind to a point and willful to a just cause. I always hoped to find a mate similar to her, and now I find myself being pulled compulsively towards her. A twig snapped and she turns suddenly to face me in the treeline. I thought she would scream as she hasn't never seen my wolf before, but she didn't. She smiled radiantly at me, as if welcoming a friend and stood up ready to walk to me. *This glowing, celestial woman is ready to accept me knowing what I am, knowing I could harm her at any moment. Goddess, what a gift you have given me,* I think as she starts to walk towards me. I go to step towards her when my father's words from earlier echo through my mind. *She won't understand........It could be dangerous for her,* I think as I step back to turn and run away. ------------------------------------- I knew in that moment who she was, that she was the one, My true mate. It was going to be hard on her since she has no wolf, and to be a Luna at all usually requires a wolf. To be different in wolf world is to separate yourself from the pack and, unless you are a lone wolf or a rogue, that's never something to desire. So I ran from her and kept running, going to the furthest university possible where there was no werewolves and no Kai. I convinced myself I was doing her justice by staying away. She was already alienated enough, and being mated to an unusual wolf on top of being different herself would only make things worse for her. If she knew I was her mate it would be even worse when Kai blossomed into a woman. There was more males always hitting on her and Lysa most days, though Lysa didn't always help with her womanly way of dealing with things. Starting a rumor or setting a prank on Kai she tried everything to gain some of the males attention, but it never worked. My best friend Jace was on Lysa's sights for a long time until he found his mate from a neighboring pack 5 years after his wolf emerged. Kim was a strong warrior woman who fit right with Jace. Who doesn't take s**t from anyone, and certainly doesn't have a problem handling *ssholes who think she should trade up. As the years went by I tried to move on with my life. I tried to have casual relationships with other woman or even one night stands, but they all ended the same way, they just weren't Her. Mom always noticed when something was going on with me, especially when I didn't talk to her for days on end. She would ask me constantly if I was dating or if I found a potential mate yet. Always pushing me to go out and see people that I won't be associating with much beyond University. Graduation is getting closer and after 12 years of hard work I finally got my masters degree in Business Development and Foreign Affairs. I knew one day I would inherit the pack from my father and become Alpha, but I wanted to make sure that all my father's hard work was preserved and maintained for the well being of everyone in the pack. I also wanted to do more development so we can grow and house more pack members should there be a need. With the ceremony a week away and my finals finished I decided to come home. I know there was a fling or two that could ruin my chances with my future mate so I needed to see those taken care of. I have already found out one ex relocated and I was happy about to hear it. Now the last one might be difficult because she claims to be in love with me. She tried to say she was pregnant with my baby, but when I seen and smelt the mating mark on her from another wolf she was dead to me. From there I walked out on her never to speak with her again. Now 2 years later I find myself fixing up loose ends, and hopefully this doesn't turn horrible. As I walk up to Stacey's apartment door I take a deep breath and knock. I wait patiently while someone walks down the hallway and opens the door. Not to much different from when I last seen her she is blonde, 5'7" with big knockers and bubble butt. I shake my head as she leans herself on the door frame. "So that's how it is than?" She says acting as if she's owed something. "You knew it was over the second I seen that mark on your neck, plus you knew it was just s*x at that point," I said looking down at her. "It was never going to go anywhere so let's cut the bullshit." She fidgets with the door handle and asks in a snide tone, "What no one around here good enough for you? I never see you were the anyone, and there's no way your gay. " "Look Stacey I'm not here to get a reminder on why I don't f*** you any more. What I'm demanding at this point is that you move to another pack willingly or you force me to choose for you?" I said staring her down emitting my Alpha presence on her. She looked up at me blankly saying, "Deposit $100,000 in to my bank account and finish off my car payments and I'll be gone by the end of the week." I stared at her like she had lost her mind, but I needed this taken care of so with that I said, "Two days from now meet me at your bank and I'll make the transfer. I want a sign and notarized affidavit saying you will never under any circumstances step foot on Mystic Lunar land again. Once that's signed you'll get you money along with a new car. At that point you will be escorted off my lands. Any questions? No, good." I turned and walked away from the last mistake I ever made as far as flings are concerned.
