[Chapter three] — The three months later

Yuki's POV...
It's been three months since that day. I had nowhere to go. None of my friends' houses were saved. How do I know this? Because that was one of the first places I tried to go to. But I would find one or more of these guys in glasses and suits outside their houses. So, my only opposition was to leave town. And that is what I did.
I would stay in a town for about two weeks before they find me again. But this time I stayed away from town, only going into town to work at a part-time job. I have been in this town for a good month now. Working a job to help me get some money. But I have learned from that time not to have money go into my bank account. So I just got a check and cashed it. No one says anything about it. I told all my managers that I would have them send my W-2 forms once I have a permanent location. But sadly, I might be on the run for a while.
In my last few jobs, I had one manager who was kind and offered to help. I had explained to them that I was on the run from some bad people and what had happened. And they, being so kind-hearted, offered to hold my W-2s and complete my taxes. Along with holding me returns until I was somewhere safe.
Grandma Sylvia POV...
My daughter called me that night, after Yuki had heard what her parents had done and the agreement of marriage to that demon man. And by the gods and goddesses, I was livid. My daughter and that no-good-for-nothing mate of hers had caused more trouble. I know I should have had Yuki live with me that day they offered it. I should have known that something like this would have happened. But my stubborn old way got the best of me. And now my beloved little snow fairy is on the run because of these demons.

I looked down at my phone to see the caller ID of my good friend Dorcas. Who lives in the States in the Crescent Forest wolf pack, as seen by Alpha Aiden. Who just so happened to be the new alpha that took over the position from his father?
Dorcas, it's good to hear from you.
Sylvia, what is the matter? And don't lie to me, I can hear it in your voice.

It's been three months since I started running, and I missed hearing my grandma's voice. I have this feeling that if I called, they would find me. But just this once, let me call and hear her voice.
My boss at dinner let me use the office phone. Even after I had told him that there might be a chance that I would be found. But, he just told me to call, and, if they come, run but keep in touch.
