The sky shone brightly in the blue overcast sky. Simmering reflections of sun danced in the bright backyard pool. As Jameela stood at the edge, she felt a rush of nostalgia. Her mind ached at a memory of her younger self. She had loved watching the reflection of the sun in water. It would look shiny white, glittering around the edges as it danced away in the water, the center too overwhelming for the eyes. Too bright for her to fixate her eyes on, she looked at the surrounding edges in wonder. Slowly, she moved away and walked painfully back to camp. There was no point in staying alone outside when there was a dangerous person in the woods. It was too risky. Her steps faltered, lingering behind a tree just few steps to the camp area.
