She slept for a long time, finally waking up late in the afternoon. The sun shone dimly right across her small bed, making her feel warm. At first, she sat looking around her as if in a haze, rapidly blinking her eyes. Her mind registered where she was, and she felt thrilled. It lasted for seconds however, because as soon as she remembered the current plight they currently were in, she shuddered. Oh My God. Ya Allah, help us, she muttered as her lower lip wobbled. Going straight into the bathroom, she performed ablution, and prayed the Asr prayer. The room was silent, haunting. Suddenly it felt like it was closing in on her. A chill ran through her body.
