“Hey. Are you awake?” he asked. Penny didn’t stir. Angelo walked further in and sat on the corner of the mattress. He saw Penny shift further away, and he pulled off his coat. “So. You met Felicity. Not something I was looking forward to, I’ll be honest.” Angelo eyed Penny. No reaction. “All right, listen.” He turned. “I’m not sure what it is she told you but—” “Were you ever going to tell me about her?” Penny’s voice was calm and quiet. She didn’t turn around to speak. “I wasn’t planning on it, no,” he said. “What happened to being honest no matter what?” “Felicity doesn’t count.” “What does that mean?” “It means she…I…ugh.” Angelo scratched his head and leaned his elbows on his knees. “It’s different.
