Prologue

In a dark alleyway, a man chases her. "You think you can escape?!"  His shout resonated along with the eerie air. It emitted murderous aura as his steps get closer and closer.  'Tak tak tak.'  Ghide huffed. She cried warm desperate breaths when she stood in front of the dead end. Black silhouette overlapped behind. Turning around with silent gasps, her shaking pupils landed at her chaser. His black hair glistened under the moonlight. The night is a blanket of darkness, but his pale skin shimmered brightly. A pair of rounded eyes squinted at her and red lips stretched for a grin.  He's a good looking man which some might mistake as the handsome vampire of the night. But she can't admire them, his face, his voice and his smile. Nothing is ingenious to the man who might kill her sooner or later. "I told you already. You can't escape," he moaned a husky voice.  'Tak tak tak'  His steps rang on her ears. They banged her chest, like a hammer slamming her ribs. 'Is this really the end? Am I going to die tonight?' she asked herself. They said human instinct can detect whether it's time to die. And so, when she saw a long steel at the side, she decided to fight for her life.  'Why should I accept dying that fast?!' She cursed the heaven. Desperate to live, she picked up the steel. "D-Don't come near me!" she threatened then pointed it to him.  The chaser found it funny – that a frail girl like her had the guts to fight back against him. Grinning in his triumph, he stepped closer. Much closer.  "I said move ba-" Ghide shouted, lifting the steel upward. But he avoided her hit. He snatched the steel and threw it away with a clang.  Now defenseless, he shoved his hand on her neck and pinned her on the wall. Hopeless Ghide tried to remove his grip but she is slowly losing all of her strength; her breaths, her will. "I c-can't b-breathe..." "People begged when they need money. But when it is paying time, they tend to run as if a monster is chasing them. Am I right?" he whispered before he loosened his grip.  He watched her fell down and coughed so hard. Then she lifted her head to him and asked, "My father died already. He was the one who borrowed money from you! Why should I pay?!" The evil man, named Simon, licked the corner of his lips as he knelt down to meet her eyes. "This is your father's fault. Why did he borrow from an evil guy like me who doesn't pity anyone?"  Tears started to pour down on her cheeks. Fear engulfed her without a hint of empathy. "I d-don't have money. I'm just a s-student. So how c-can I pay you?"  Simon lifted her chin and responded with a smirk, "Really? There's one way you can." She felt his eyes scanning her from head to toe. "Use your body," he dropped.
