I caught Tyler and Natalie up with what the patrol had told me as we made our way into the cells. I pushed open the first door and walked down the steps. I was greeted by two guards who led me to the cells of the intruders. Immediately my eyes swelled with tears, it was my guardian angel, Kathryn lying on the small cot in the cell, passed out.
“Open the doors immediately. NOW!” I screamed at the guards. They hesitated for a second but opened the gate. I ran in and enveloped her in a hug, it was only then that I noticed how badly beaten she was. “Who did this?!” I screamed at the guard.
He nervously replied, “It wasn’t us. She came to the land like this.” “I’ll get Denise” The other one said as they hurried away.
