“Son, I have a feeling that I am being targeted. Someone is after my life, but I can't figure out who," said the sworn owner of Wade Companies, Oliver Wade, while having a conversation with his son, Darius Wade, in his office.
"B-but, Dad, I don't understand being targeted," Darius stammered, his eyes deepening in surprise as he heard what his father said.
"With all the security around you, I doubt anybody will get a chance to get through to you!" Neither lending any attack upon you.
"You don't have to conclude that way, son. The way the world goes now, you can't predict it. Even with the money I have, I can still be targeted, I am still scared" Oliver Wade said, his face showing evident sadness as he spoke.
Suddenly, a glimmer of a smile shone on his lips. "Nevertheless, son, I will try and keep myself safe."
Oliver Wade's voice trembled with concern as he spoke, "Just know this, if I am being targeted, you might be targeted as well. So make sure you stay safe and be conscious of your environment. You are the rightful owner of my companies if I am no more, and also my only and best favorite son. I can't afford to lose you. So you have to stay safe," Oliver Wade said while trying to reach out to Darius' hands. He gripped the hands with love and compassion, looked into Darius' eyes, and smiled, his eyes filled with a mix of worry and concern of a father.
Father, stop sounding this way; nothing will happen to you dad, just stay calm. I think you should report this to the police, or I will do that when I get home from here.
Never mind, son, we don't have a clue.
Yes, that's why we have to involve the police in this, they will look for the clue on what is wrong and who is planning evil against you.
oh gosh I don't know why this always happens, the envy of people around those that are successful in life is so annoying. Anybody that tends to be successful in life always gets targeted, having enemies all around.
Yes, son, that's how it is always; that's why we have guards always with us,even with that there's no guarantee to our safety. You can go home now, make sure that you are careful. We will discuss more when I get home.
Okay, Dad, Darius responded while standing from the chair he was sitting on. He stood and went close to his father, then patted his cheek. I will see you later, Dad.
With a smile on Oliver wade’s face he responded “see you later to son.”
Darius walked out of the office, went to the elevator, and descended down the building. With his favorite guards John who walked alongside him to his car.
But who could be planning evil against my dad? He is a good man, always loving, and has helped a lot of people; what could be the cause of the hate? I have never seen my dad look so scared in my entire life before. But today shocked me; from the way he talks, I can typically tell that something is wrong; it's beyond someone targeting him. Yes, it's beyond that.
I need to look for a way to confront my dad again to know what's going on, probably when he gets home. With all that he has, the houses, cars, and companies. But still have doubts about being safe. Darius murmured to himself as he talked silently.
Sir, what's wrong, sir? If there is anything to help you with, or if there is anything you want to talk about, please let me know. John, his bodyguard who is also his private driver, said while turning his head to look at the back seat of the car where Darius was seated.
He was wondering what Darius must have been thinking about. He noticed his facial expressions from when he was about to enter the car. It's not his usual look; could he have been burdened by something? What could that be? John murmured in thought as he gradually turned his head back to the wheel and continued driving the car.
John, I want you to stop at the shop, right? I want to get something for Elena, Darius said while rubbing his face, a signs of worries, and unsettled thought about his father.
Okay, sir. Ten minutes later, they reached the jewelry shop. "Sir, we are here," John said, while smiling. "Oh okay," Darius replied, then opened the door and walked out of the car. John, his driver, also walked out immediately; he walked alongside Darius to the jewelry shop.
John Darius' bodyguard quickly walked forward towards the door to the jewelry shop and opened it. "After you, sir," John said, holding the door handle.
"Sir, what exactly will you want to get for your wife?" John asked.
"Urm, I wanted to get her something more flashy; I was thinking of buying her golden earrings and also a diamond necklace," at least she will be happy seeing with it after a month of not being at home.
"Oh, sir, that's lovely. She will love it, sir" John remarked.
As they were still talking, a man approached them dressed in a suit.
"Good day, sir," he said, his lips curling into a smile as he spoke. "I am the salesman over here, sir; welcome to Glow Vinton Jewelries; we offer the best quality and expensive things here, and they are highly quality."
"Sir, I would love you to come to see what we got, we will be splendid when you see it," the salesman said, walking Darius towards a glass showcases where you can see different types of jewelry of different kinds, the ones made of gold, diamond, and even pearls from the ocean. They entirely have everything; it's one of the biggest jewelry shops in the entire city.
Darius walked to a specific glass showcase in the shop; he was amazed by the beauty of the jewelry. Initially, the salesman didn't take him over to the specific showcase, which tends to have the most expensive jewelry in the jewelry store, an topically not for sale.
"Wow, beautiful, they all look good. I feel like buying the whole of them," Darius laughed, while looking at the jewelry in the glass showcase.
"Haha, sir, that's impossible, the salesman said. The money will be much for you to comprehend, and by the way they are not for sale. Only the necklace designed with pearls is worth 500 thousand dollars. I don't think you can afford that. And even though you do, it's been preserved for someone special; it's already purchased, sir."
“As I said earlier it's not for sale.”
"What the heck did you just say now?" Darius said angrily. His eyes got red, all of a sudden, and both his brows curved, creating a V shape on his forehead.
"Sir, please calm down; permit me to take care of this fool for insulting you that way, sir," John said angrily while trying to move forward to the sales man.
Darius raised his hand towards John, and with a smile, he said. "Don't worry, John, he's just saying what he thinks; I love people who are sincere with their speech."
"Yes, but not in a disrespectful way, sir; he just disrespected you," John replied angrily.
The salesman stood still while looking at John and Darius. "Please, sir, forgive my manners; I am just following strict orders, sir. I can't sell that jewelry that is in the glass showcases. they are both someone else's someone else's own. Sorry.”
"You said 500 thousand, right? I want to buy it all. I want to buy both the gold necklace and the one with diamonds as well, and also the silver diamond and gold rings," Darius said while pointing at the jewelry. "Give them all to me," he said in a commanding tone.
Sir, that is impossible; those things are already sold. I can't sell them to you, sir. And by the way, the Golding ring you could see at the showcase, sir, it's worth 800 thousand dollars, sir. I can't sell those to you; they are sold to someone else.
I will double the money, all of them I will double it. Darius replied. While touching the glass showcase.
Sir, that's a lot of money, John whispered into Darius' ears as he got closer to him.
