Layla awoke with a start, sitting up in the bed.
She was struggling to catch her breath when a warm familiar hand started playing with her hair.
“It’s alright kitten,” Axel muttered in her ear,

He kept cooing to her until she calmed down.
She turned to look at him. It was early morning.The sun was peeking over the mountains and the fog was just now lifting from the trees.
He had stayed with her the whole night, keeping her warm in his embrace.
