All of us retreated back to Aileen's chambers. Jacob had stood between Lydia and me during the entire trip, unsettled by her warning about my fate. For some reason, it didn't sound like a threat. Her words only made me anxious to check on Izzy.
Sir Ellice was guarding the adjoining room. Izzy was sleeping in the Princes' bed until proper accommodations could be made. The fact none of us were ofderes to check on her made me uneasy; as did the tense silence betweem us. Must run in the Lutz bloodline.
