The morning started well enough. We tried leaving the packhouse without anyone noticing, but we had no such luck. As always, Adam had caught us on the stairs on his way to wake us up.
“Awww did you guys come to wake me up,” he placed his hands on his chest.
“No,” Ryan said in a flat tone.
“Where are you two love birds off to then?”
“I’m taking my mate out on a date”
“Where are we going?” Adam smiled up at him.
Both of us gave him a blank stare.
“Fine. I see how it is. Guess I’ll just be here… all alone… with no one to talk to… just me, myself and I”
“Yeah. Good luck with that,” Ryan said, grabbing my hand and rushing us out of the house and into his car.
