Members greeted us as we walked by. Many looked at us with pity while others looked with admiration. I tried my best to stand tall, but I found myself leaning into Miles as we walked.
As we neared the office we could hear shouts coming from behind the closed doors. I opened it as quietly as I could, hoping no one would notice.
“You are nothing but a selfish little b***h! He should’ve never brought you to our pack”
“That’s enough of that,” Ryan let out a warning growl.
“You expect us to just give her everything! First our son and now our grandchild? She won’t even know how to raise the pup properly”
