CHAPTER 18 Baba rarely went anywhere anymore. When night came he would come inside from the front balcony of his house to sit in a chair in his sitting room, and in front of the television. Often there was no electricity, but he would nevertheless just sit and stare at the grey screen of the television. This had become his night routine. The room was large and airy and the flickering kerosene lamps gave it a soft cosiness and therefore having electricity or not, didn’t matter so much.
