Chapter Thirteen It was a very somber and resolute young woman who greeted her parents at the breakfast table later that morning. “Good morning, Cassandra,” her mother said, as she entered the breakfast parlor. “I would have a word with you after you are done eating.” “Good morning, Mother, Father,” Cassandra replied, turning to each parent in turn. “I would like to have a word with you as well.
