CHAPTER 3 THE KINGS

1050 Words
JENNIFER’S POV I look at his hand as he holds it out for me to take. Then, I look at all of them. Do I trust them? Should I go with them? I don’t understand, but for some reason they make me feel…safe. I slowly put my hand in his and look at him. He has a big smile on his face. “Mary said that you might still be hungry. Do you need more food?” Justin, I think asks. I think about it. “I think I’m good for now. I don’t know where I was or what happened to me, but I have a feeling that I haven’t eaten in a long time, so the little filled me up,” I tell them. They don’t look happy. I let go of Jason’s hand and take a few steps back. Their faces smooth out immediately. “We’re sorry, sweety, we aren’t mad at you, it upsets us to think about where you were that would keep you from eating for so long. Please don’t be scared of us. We will never do anything to hurt you,” Jonathan pleads. It’s hard to tell them apart, but I think that over time, if I’m still here, I will be able to. They’re all over six feet tall, I would guess 6’5” at least. All three have black hair and dark brown eyes. I could get lost in anyone of their eyes. I don’t understand it, but I feel a strange attraction to all three of them. Like I can trust them and that I should be with all three of them, but I don’t know how that can be it. Maybe I’m just tired. They start walking and I walk behind them. They look back and see I’m following them and smile. While I’m following behind them, I’m able to get a closer look at their hair, and I notice Jason’s hair is cut in a business-like hair style, where it’s short, both Jonathan’s and Justin’s hair are longer. I also notice that Justin’s hair isn’t only closer to shoulder length, but it has a slight wave to it. I’ll be able to tell them apart, by their hair. They walk toward a large house. When we get closer and round to the front of the house, I realize it isn’t a house at all, but a castle. I stop and gasp. One of them, I now knew is Jonathan, grabs me around the waist, like he’s afraid I’m about to run for the hills. “It’s ok, don’t worry. This is our castle. There are many people that live in the castle with us, but none of them will hurt you either. You’ll find that everyone in our kingdom is very friendly,” Jonathan says. We walk into the house and the first room we come to is the kitchen. There are half a dozen women cooking. They all look up when we walk in, then in unison they all nod slightly and go back to work. I can’t figure out what they nodded at. No one said anything. I have to have imagined it; I really need more sleep. They take me through the castle. After the kitchen we walk down a hall way that leads to a dining room. The dining room is huge. There’s a head table with seats for twelve, and then various tables around the room. This room must easily seat 100 people. The next room is a game room, where there’s a pool table, a large TV, a few couches, some tables, and cabinets, I assume are filled with board games. At the end of the hall is a large elegant spiral stair case. I’m surprised when we walk past the stairs to an elevator. The whole castle is lavish and beautiful everywhere I look, but I wouldn’t say that it was overdone. It isn’t gaudy or ostentatious. I look at the buttons inside the elevator and notice the sixth floor requires a thumb print verification also. Jason puts his thumb on the plate and pushes the number six. The elevator doors close and it starts moving swiftly up. When it stops, we get off the elevator. “This whole floor is ours. This door leads to our office. If you ever want or need us during the day, we are usually here, just come right in. This is Justin's room. Here is Jonathan's room and right next door is my room," Jason says as he pointed to each room. "At the end of the hall is what used to be our parents’ room and here is your room," Jason finishes as he opens the door to the room he indicated as mine. I walk in and gasp. I can’t believe how large this room is. It’s gorgeous. The room has a large four post bed in the middle, with a cute sitting area off to the left. The walls are painted in a light purple. The bed sheets are a deep purple and the comforter is white with little purple flowers on it. There are two doors. The first door leads to a large empty walk-in closet. The second door leads to the bathroom. I look around the bathroom. It has a double sink and a door that probably holds the potty. The shower is huge. It’s a stand in shower that wraps around, so it doesn’t need a door. I look inside the shower. It has a seat inside and multiple shower heads. It’s large enough that all four of us could shower at the same time and we would still have plenty of room. The thought of showering with these three glorious men makes me blush. “A penny for your thoughts,” Jason asks. I blush a deeper red. “I was just thinking that the shower looks big enough for all four of us,” I tell them. “We’re up for trying it out if you are,” Jason says. “Um…I don’t think so,” I stutter. “Well, let us know if you change your mind.” He says with a chuckle. “We’ll leave you to rest. We’ll be in our office if you need anything.” I nod and they leave.
