I awoke to the enticing scent of coffee enveloping the cabin. The warm aroma pulled me from my slumber. When I stepped outside, there was Ashford, working his culinary wonders, whipping up a breakfast feast that danced with tempting flavors. Ashford noticed me as I closed the door behind me.
"Morning, Serena," Ashford greeted with a warm smile, the sizzle of bacon in the background.
"Good morning, Ashford," I replied, savoring the rich aroma of brewing coffee. "Smells incredible in here. Where's Alexei?"
Ashford's eyes twinkled as he flipped a pancake. "Oh, Alexei's out back, taking out his frustrations on some firewood."
I chuckled, taking a sip of the steaming coffee. "I see. Should I be worried?"
