An Education By Katharine O’Neill Rena was feeling better after a second glass of wine. She and Tracey had consumed a lot of it since they had arrived at the cabin, snuggling in the warmth as the snow swirled around outside. Not much of a drinker herself, Rena had never expected the influence the wine had on her—like she was wrapped up in a warm blanket. Or perhaps it was the log fire burning away in the fireplace. Rena didn’t know at this point. She looked across at Tracey, who was curled up on the other end of the couch, nursing her own glass of wine. Her smile had faded and she was looking a little despondent. Rena couldn’t blame her; she was feeling the same.
