Chapter 4

The kiss

Time has past and things were going great at work, and with Dillon. Well we were still friends. And i soon grew tired of the guy i was dating cause he only caused me problems as Dillon also predicted. He would take my salary and go out to get drunk.  After we broke up i told Dillon. He was happy for some reason, as i could not understand why. But soon would find out.

Dillon asked me to come to his work in my lunch as i did for the last 2 months. He added that he needed to talk to me about something. I was excited as i thought he found me another job maybe as he knew i was looking for something better. My lunch time finally came and i made my way to his work.

He looked at me surprised as he thought i would not come. I made my way to the back where the small kitchen was to make coffee for us. He then took my hand and told me he was thinking about getting a divorce. He was thinking about it for a while now. I stood there completely still as if i was frozen. I starred at him for a while then looked away not sure what he wanted me to say.  Till he surprise i finished making us coffee and turned to him giving his coffee. I looked him in his eyes, and said, well maybe you should think about it. I mean you were married for 3 years and that's not just something you throw away for no reason. He looked at me shocked. He has told me about their fights and that it was getting worse. They could not speak 2 sentences to each other without fighting.

Then his next move made me realise why he was telling me this. He pulled me closer to him and kissed me. I was completely shock and soon realised what we were doing and pulled away quickly. I knew then why he wanted to talk to me. At first i thought me was playing games with me but it was not like him to do something like that to me. As we were friends for almost a year now. I was caught in the moment and just starred at him without saying a word. He broke the silence by telling me they were having a birthday party at his house on Saturday, and he wanted me to come. At first i did not want to go and said i would let him know.
