Chapter Six

***Rosalinda P.O.V.***

“Aaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!...” The agonizing pain in my back!

“It is fine child. Something amazing is about to happen. It will be over shortly, I promise.”  Izzy says soothingly.

‘Grrrr…. That is what you said last time we grew our wings hundreds of years ago. You lied then and you are lying to me now ma’am and it is not nice.’ “Aaaahhhhh!!!!! f**k! This hurts worse than when we did it in front of King Arthur and all those damn busy body knights and…..”

I stopped mid rant when I heard multiple gasps. I look up to see multiple people staring at me. “WHAT?! Can a girl not cuss when her back is SPLITTING OPEN??!!”

“Baby, look at me.” Xavier said calmly.

I took a deep breathe and looked him in the eyes. As soon as I looked at him, he fell to his knees and had a strained look on his face as the pain in my back started to fade. He is taking my pain. He is taking my pain away!! “Stop it!” I yell at the top of my lungs. “Stop taking my pain. I can handle it!!”

“NO!” Xavier alpha voiced and everyone else in the room fell to their knees.

“Damnit Xavier!”

Finally, my back popped, and I felt my wings flutter open. Relief flowed through my body as black dots started to float around my vision.

***Xavier’s P.O.V.***

My mate exploded in a brilliant bright golden light with magnificent blue and purple wings open behind her.  I see her eyes start to roll into the back of her head and rush to catch her. She falls into my arms as I hear the door behind slam open. In walks Jack looking frantic and….in wolf form?? “Jack?”

Rosie squeezes my shirt in her fist, and I look down at her only for her to whisper, “D…Do…Do not leave me…please?”

“Oh sweetie. I am not going anywhere. Not without you anyways. Never.” I smile faintly and kiss her on the forehead and pull her closer to me and put her head on my chest.

‘Xav…. Jack…He is my…body…guard.’

I thought she was speaking out loud till I heard. ‘Do not tell anyone. Not yet anyways.’  Sigh. ‘We have to wait for the right time. Call the…meeting.’

“Okay baby.” I take in a deep breath of my mates’ scent to calm my nerves and turn to look at everyone in the room. “Call the elders dad, we need to have a meeting, and mom, do not say a damn thing unless it is something nice. Please. I have no patience for bullshit today.”

I turn with my mate in my arms and head to my room to take a nap with my mate with jack still in wolf form following us.
