LeRoy Harrison was drunk. So was Betsy, his wife, but LeRoy was the champion drunk in this family. When their son was born, both mother and father were drunk at the hospital. As a joke, LeRoy suggested that they name the boy Harris Harrison. They both laughed and then signed the birth certificate.
Of all the damage they did to Harris, the joke name did greater damage.
