Buffy called Barnett back twenty minutes later.
"Hey, I found your car. I was going to search for it, but I noticed it parked right across from the warehouse's delivery truck. The car and the truck left at the same time."
“Could you make out the plate with enhancement?” asked Barnett.
“Kind of,” said Buffy.
“What do you mean, ‘kind of,” said Barnett.
"I enhanced it, and you can see BGF 3342 or DGF 8842 or BOP 3842 or something like that. It's not very clear."
Barnett paused. “I believe there would be a limited number of possible permutations on the letters and numbers that would look alike. Draw up a list and match it to Teslas registered in Quebec.”
“Can do,” answered Buffy. “I’ll call back when I get a hit.
Ten minutes later, the phone rang. Barnett answered. He said a couple
